We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jaime Geist a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaime, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
I took a big risk this year by leaving my job to be a content creator and voice actor. I was at my job for almost 3 years and decided it wasn’t for me. I wanted to have a chance to explore what I’m good at and to enjoy being creative. I told my boss that I was quitting and I appreciated the chance to be working for the company but I wanted to follow my dreams. It’s scary to take such a risk but I know it will pay off in the end.

Hi there! My name is Jaime Geist but some of you might know me as ZheDoctah on social media!
I am a content creator and voice actor.
Originally I had always had an interest in voice acting but never had the courage to go for it until I got into being a content creator.
I always love creating new videos when I can or practicing with my voice to become better with voice acting.
What makes me different than others? I always try my best to cosplay with basic everyday outfits and wigs.. Or better known as Closet Cosplay. I support all my followers and do my best to interact every other day!
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I think it would have to be buying so much stuff for a storyline idea for creating content. Never let anyone stand in your way of being creative and always try to do it within budgets and limits.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Seeing people love my content or loving my auditions. It makes all the next rakes and mess up moments worth it.
