Alright, Jaida thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?

I’m hoping to build a legacy for my family. I want to be able to leave something behind for the generations to come within my family. Every family has the opportunity to set the next generation up for positive before they leave this earth. I want to be a big part in that with starting this business. I’m hoping people remember me for my hustle and grind. Also, appreciate the motivation of why I created this business.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

JS Media is a media company that caters to all events. We provide the 360 photo booth experience and also specialize in video and photography. Punctuality and quality is key to our business. Mostly the problems we deal with are people who may be lacking a spark in their event or searching for a themed photoshoot or video. They hire us to bring this to life and appreciate the ideas we create. We are different from your average media company because we show in our work that we appreciate the client. Each event is catered to that particular client, and we take even the smallest things into consideration. I’m proud of the clients that have hired us thus far, and that the business has improved every year since we’re started. We have more to come and want to start being more involved in other businesses, that being promotional content or media businesses can use for marketing purposes. We look forward to the future!

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

The lesson I had to unlearn was thinking when I started my business that people you know would support just because they know you. Marketing is key to starting a business, getting to know other businesses and networking is very important in this line of work. Also, business isn’t personal. Emotions and business of not mix and aren’t necessary for a thriving business.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding part of my business is being able to make my clients happy. I enjoy the fact that they had a successful event and we had a part in it. Planning an event or trying to figure out if a person can creat your visions is already stressful enough, I enjoy the fact that the client doesn’t have to worry about my responsibility and trust me to do my work.
