We were lucky to catch up with Jaida Pervis recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jaida, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Are you happier as a business owner? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job?
I am extremely happy and content as a business owner. Business ownership encourages innovation and creativity. I have the freedom to experiment with new ideas, and services, fostering a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Through my business, I also have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with my clients and these connections can be incredibly rewarding both personally and professionally. I really don’t think about having a “regular job”, because this is my career and I love what I do. Not only does it provide flexibility, continuous learning, and problem solving, but it gives me a profound sense of purpose. That makes the journey alone both fulfilling and truly satisfying.
I have wanted to take a leap of faith for several years now, and once I did, I have never looked back. I now have the freedom to make critical decisions that shape the direction of my company. This autonomy allows me to pursue my vision and passion, rather than adhering to someone else’s agenda. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My journey into the world of matchmaking began in 2015 when a dear friend suggested I do so after many years of matching friends and family. Quite frankly I was intrigued by the thought of being a true gladiator for love. After working with one of the largest known matchmaking organizations, I then moved on to more boutique firms. Eventually, I became certified and decided it was time to take off the training wheels, take a leap of faith and branch out on my own.
When I started Flirting With Forever, I wanted my company to have a much more personalized approach. It is my belief that true compatibility goes beyond superficial characteristics and I pride myself on getting to know my clients on a deeper level. Flirting With Forever was created based on my love of LOVE. With our valuable dating advice, coaching, and feedback after each introduction, it allows my clients an opportunity to put their best foot forward. There is nothing better than hearing about an amazing 1st date, or when I get the call that a client has decided to become exclusive and pursue a relationship.
Every day in the world of matchmaking is unique, filled with hope and excitement. One of the highlights of my day is witnessing the genuine connections and happiness that blossom between two individuals. It is a truly heartwarming experience to play a part in bringing people together who might not have crossed paths otherwise. Seeing their smiles, hearing their stories, and feeling the joy that love can bring is incredibly fulfilling.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Building clientele, whether you are a small business owner, or a corporate conglomerate requires a combination of effective strategies and consistent effort. A few of the things that have worked for me are:
1) Networking and Building relationships within my industry. I attend relevant events, joined professional organizations, and have connected with people on social media platforms as well.
2) Provide Exceptional Service: The best way to retain clients and gain referrals is to consistently deliver exceptional service or products. Satisfied clients are more likely to recommend you to others.
3) Content Marketing is key! Create high-quality, informative content that demonstrates your expertise. For me, I utilize blog posts, podcasts, and all social media platforms to showcase my knowledge and expertise.
4) Continual Learning and Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and continuously improve your skills. Offering the latest solutions can make you more attractive to potential clients.
5) Patience and Persistence is something I work on daily. Building clientele takes time. Be patient and persistent in your efforts, and do not get discouraged by setbacks or slow growth.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
. Matchmaking, like many other businesses involves a combination of strategies to build and maintain a solid reputation.. The number 1 factor is building a strong professional network within the matchmaking community. I attend industry events, conferences, and seminars which provides an opportunity to connect with, and learn from other matchmakers experiences. Collaboration is key, and if you maintain high standards, and ethical business practices, your reputation will speak for itself.
Remember that building a solid business reputation, is an ongoing process. For me, it’s all about a genuine commitment to helping people find meaningful connections, and curating positive client experiences. With over a decade of experience, I believe following that secret sauce is one of the many reasons I have been in the industry as long as I have been.
