We were lucky to catch up with Jaida Henley recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jaida, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
I actually love this question. Being a creative entrepreneur has changed my life. From being on stage to being on TV screens, you get to experience a lot of thrill in this industry, At times, it can often feel overwhelming. You always have something to do. There is always something to do next. Once you finish, you get back out and look for more work. It really is a hustle when you don’t have a team doing it for you. Visiting Europe for half a month really helped me calm my nervous system. It was a breath away from everything I work towards. Although I was still livestreaming in Europe, I got a taste of how it would feel to live a “regular life.” After a week, I was ready to get back to my hustle. I realized I can’t be normal no matter how hard I try. I have a purpose much larger than me. An impact much larger than what I think I’m doing. I have learned to embrace this beautiful crazy life of mine.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a young creative entrepreneur, People know me for my music and acting. I am also an Influencer known for living passionately and boldly. I have always had an interest in my career field. I’ve had a camera as long as I’ve had a memory and I joined Youtube in 5th grade. I moved from Douglasville to Atlanta at 17 and then Los Angeles at 20 by myself. Not only am I creative but I’m smart. That is what has helped me get ahead in my situations. I am passionate in financial literacy and business branding. It’s only a matter of time until my skills take me to the top.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I just want to inspire people to keep going. They’re only one decision away from a different life. Making music and acting in these stories allow me to share an experience for people to relate to. That’s why I love songwriting. It’s beautiful to see how different people relate to different pieces.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Ads and marketing. Once I learned proper SEO and advertising, it’s over with. I am good at getting organic reach but I would love to learn how to do my ad marketing one day too.
