We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jahleel (DJ JSO) Muhammad. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jahleel (DJ JSO) below.
Alright, Jahleel (DJ JSO) thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you have any thoughts about how to create a more inclusive workplace?
I started my career out on a community radio station, PhillyCam 106.5 WPPM FM. A station founded on the foundation of community involvement and since my ascension to programming director of a new station “Hit Nation Empire” available on IHeartRadio, Tune In, Alexa, Apple CarPlay, etc, my goal has remained the same to Include community creators from across the country in the development of our stations content. Thanks to live 365’s advanced XM broadcasting system station programmers like myself now have the ability to upload multiple channel files and more to enable a person to virtually anywhere and upload their pre-recorded talk shows, podcasts and mixshows to the station. Lastly, thanks to the advanced distribution system in place you can be virtually anywhere in the world and listen to the station on an array of devices, including but not limited to our main station website Hitnationempire.com & blog site THEMIC.live. Our station team, which is built of several community creatives invest their own finances on a monthly membership basis to cover the cost or running the station and it’s counterparts all for sake of having an inclusive large scale platform for other talented community creatives, entrepreneurs, musicians, etc. to utilize and share their work. Our stations motto is ” Stronger Together, Bigger Than Ever!”
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Finances are always a tough when your an independent creative so I’d recommend getting your personal credit in a good place it’ll save so much stress and time and the perfect service for it is called “Self Financial” it’s a credit builder service that helps people build credit and issues you your first credit card if you don’t already have one. As a creative entrepreneur I’ll be the first to tell you you need one.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
