We were lucky to catch up with Jael Fehrenbacher recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jael, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The biggest and scariest risk I have taken is opening myself up to the world of content creation. For a long time I thought everyone on the internet were attention seekers. While that may be the case with some. I find alot of creators to be vulnerable, bold, brave, non-cookie cutter, and intellectual. When I started creating content I was in a really bad place in my life and depression took up a big part of my life. I didn’t know if I was every going to see the hopeful side of life again. The thing about me is, is that whenever I have been unhappy in life I always covered it up by making other people laugh so they couldn’t see my pain. So I took that idea and put it into my videos. I figured that if I could just make one person’s day better I had accomplished something great. As I started to gain followers and people started to interact with me, I realised that alot of their responses were the same. “Oh my gosh, I needed that today.” “You’re so funny”, “you made me laugh” What I was doing was helping someone else and that made it worth while. I had accomplished what I set out to do.

Jael, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a wife of 10 years, a daughter, a younger sister, an aunt of 3, a dog mom to Lilly and Buddy.
I got into the industry of content creation because I love making people laugh. I love to focus on laughter instead of all the negative things going on in the world.
What sets me apart from anyone I believe is my dedication to myself. Being authentic in my creation. What you see is me in everyday life..if not a little toned down..lol
The thing I’m most proud of is the fact that I have remained 100% myself through all of the trials and tribulations designed to put me down.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding thing about being a creative is meeting the people that you inspire, people that you make laugh. You have no idea how great it feels when something you do affects someone’s life in a positive way.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My mission is to keep empowering women to be their most authentic selves. Remembering that we are always enough no matter what is going on in life. Anything we think we can’t do…we most certainly can. It is up to us to empower eachother not anyone else. I would love to one day sit on a panel with positive influential woman from around the world and just be encouraging to women in a positive atmosphere.
