Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jade Robinson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Jade, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?

I learned what I do because I have a yearn and a passion for it and a readiness to learn no matter how advanced I am at it. I could have sped up my learning process by noticing toxic environments from the start. I think the most essential skills were being strong-willed and hard-headed, because in multiple scenarios I had to stand up for who I am. I honestly think the obstacles that stood in my way was the environments I was in. I needed to get out of certain environments because once I did then I finally started to thrive.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your background and context?

I was born and raised in the heart of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and am currently living in Florida, I have already accomplished many milestones in the dance, modeling, acting & voice-over industry. From performing on big stages, walking runways in NYC, becoming a published model, and appearing in film and TV, I have achieved many remarkable accomplishments.

I discovered my true passion for dance when I took my very first ballet class at the age of nine. My dedication and love for dance quickly evolved into my pursuit of a professional dance career. I carrie a very high standard of work ethic and pour it into my training, knowing that dedication is a major part of becoming a successful dancer.

I am a 2025 graduate of The Business of Dance. My mentor and the founder, Menina Fortunato, has provided me with opportunities to connect with many industry professionals, including Corynne Barron, Lindsey Blaufarb, Rachele Brooke Smith, Carol Borjas Cantrall, Mel Charlot, Dytto, Aubrey Fisher, Karl Flores, Tiana Gandelman, Ryan Jenkins, Kenzie, Tina Landon, Rhonda Malkin, Tara Jean Popowich, Eden Shabtai, Bre Traver, and Dana Wilson.

I hold deep respect for the teachers and mentors who have poured into my training over the years in ballet, pointe, progressing ballet technique, lyrical, modern, jazz, and tap, including Katie Adams, Alison Grine, Travis Love, GJ Martin, Erik “Silky” Moore, Stephanie Sorensen, and Stephanie Morales. I have danced with Cavod Ballet Theatre, Prelude, and Space Coast Ballet Company and am excited to see where my journey takes me next!

I placed in the top ten in the world for People’s Choice Dancer through JamarGig’s worldwide online dance competition. I also earned a certificate through the Cecchetti Syllabus, training with the Cecchetti Council of America under National Registrar and Liaison June Smith, and I am additionally trained in Vaganova Ballet.

I had the honor of performing many roles in the inaugural year of Wonder, a contemporary ballet at Cavod Ballet Theatre. I have a natural gift for making people feel the emotion behind my movement, creating performances that are both powerful and beautiful. I also have a passion for choreographing, believing wholeheartedly that the work you put in is what you get out. With a heart for others, I share my knowledge by teaching “the littles,” as I love to call them.

My agents in LA, NY, and FL are proud to represent me. Over the past several years, I have expanded into the acting and modeling world. From 2 feature films to multiple short films and more than 15 commercials for major companies, I bring my captivating presence to every project. With poise and professionalism, I have walked multiple times in New York Fashion Week as a brand model. I also walked in My Dream Wedding Expo, Florida Fashion Shows, Orlando International Fashion Week, and Matilda Spring Runway, showcasing many designers.

As a published model, I have been featured in All Eyes Magazine, Penida Magazine, Matilda Model Magazine, Bold Journey, and Maxi WioMag. I captivate the camera with my presence, bringing my light wherever I go. I demonstrate that modeling is more than just taking a photo, I allow the camera to capture a moment, telling a story through my eyes.

I am also expanding into voiceover work and hope to one day give a voice to something that does not have one.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

For me the most rewarding aspect is finally seeing all of my hard work pay off.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I have had many people in the dance, modeling, and acting industry, not treat me seriously and/or make me fun of me. A story I want to share though is an agency that wanted me signed with them but there was only one condition. So one day I got a call after reaching out to a talent agency I was interested in signing with. Heard it was supposedly supposed to be really good. The guy on the phone said “we would love to have you signed with my talent agency but you’re gonna have to change your voice. You will get nowhere with that voice.” I quickly responded with “I like my voice the way it is and I truly believe I will be able to do amazing things— with my voice.” He said bye and hung up. Since that instance three years ago, I now have seven agents across the US. I made sure to prove that guy wrong. It’s people like that, that fuel my fire. I look at where I am now and am so happy I stuck up for myself and didn’t believe what he said.
