Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jade Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Jade, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
People often assume my passion started with sports, but the truth is it started with people.
As an athlete, I had coaches who impacted my life far beyond the scoreboard. They challenged me, believed in me, and helped shape who I was becoming. As I got older, I realized I wanted to do the same thing for others.
That’s where the idea behind everything I do came from.
Whether I’m coaching basketball, teaching English, writing Bible studies, mentoring athletes, or speaking to young people, the mission is the same: help people discover their potential and become who God created them to be.
Sports just happen to be one of the best classrooms for life. They teach discipline, resilience, leadership, teamwork, and how to handle adversity. I’ve always believed those lessons matter just as much as the final score.
That belief eventually led me to build training programs, start mentoring athletes, write faith-based resources, and now step into my role as Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and English teacher at Christian Academy of Louisville.
The idea has never really changed. The platform has.
The goal is still to impact lives. I want to help people grow and leave every person better than I found them.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Yes, would love to! My name is Jade Jones and I’m an author, basketball coach, English teacher, entrepreneur, and mentor who is passionate about helping people grow both on and off the court.
Athletics have shaped much of my life. I was a multi-sport athlete at Wayland Baptist University, and after college I spent years coaching, teaching, and working with young athletes throughout Texas. Along the way, I also built my own training business, wrote two Bible studies, and created platforms focused on leadership, personal growth, and faith.
Recently, I began an exciting new chapter as the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and an English teacher at Christian Academy of Louisville in Kentucky. It’s a tremendous opportunity to combine two things I love—education and athletics—in an environment where faith is part of everyday life.
Whether I’m coaching a game, teaching a class, leading a Bible study, or mentoring an athlete, my goal is always the same: help people become the best version of themselves. I care deeply about developing confidence, discipline, leadership, and character—not just performance.
What sets me apart is that I genuinely believe success is about more than wins or accomplishments. Those things are great, but the impact we have on people lasts much longer. I want my athletes and students to leave knowing who they are, what they stand for, and what they’re capable of achieving.
Right now, I’m most excited about helping build on the incredible legacy at Christian Academy of Louisville. I want to pursue championships, but I also want to help create a legacy of faith, leadership, and excellence that will impact young women for years to come.
At the end of the day, my greatest passion is investing in people. Everything else is simply the vehicle that allows me to do it.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Can You Share a Story From Your Journey That Illustrates Your Resilience?
One of the biggest tests of resilience in my life wasn’t something that happened on a basketball court, it was saying yes to an opportunity that required me to leave everything familiar behind.
For years, my life was rooted in Texas. I had built relationships, established myself professionally, and had the security that comes with knowing exactly what tomorrow looks like. I was teaching, coaching, writing, mentoring, and building programs that I cared deeply about.
Then an opportunity presented itself that completely changed the trajectory of my life.
Christian Academy of Louisville offered me the opportunity to become the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach while also serving as an English teacher.
On paper, it sounded exciting.
In reality, it meant leaving an entire life behind.
It meant moving to a different state.
It meant stepping away from the comfort of what was known.
It meant trusting that God was leading me somewhere even though I couldn’t see every detail of the path ahead.
Those decisions sound inspiring when people talk about them after the fact. In the moment, they’re often uncomfortable and uncertain.
There were practical questions to answer, financial risks to consider, and countless reasons why staying where I was would have been easier.
But I’ve learned that faith often requires movement before certainty.
The more I prayed about the opportunity, the more I felt God calling me toward it, not simply because of basketball, but because of the people.
I wasn’t being called to a position.
I was being called to a mission.
Christian Academy of Louisville has a strong basketball tradition and a legacy that deserves to be honored. I want to help continue that legacy and compete for championships. But what excites me most is helping build a legacy of faith alongside it.
Wins matter.
Excellence matters.
Championships matter.
But long after banners fade and trophies collect dust, character remains.
My hope is that years from now, former players won’t just remember plays, practices, and games. They’ll remember that someone believed in them, challenged them, prayed for them, and helped them discover who God created them to be.
The move to Kentucky reminded me that resilience isn’t always pushing through adversity. Sometimes resilience is having the courage to leave comfort behind and trust God with the unknown.
Looking back, I can honestly say that the greatest growth in my life has happened on the other side of obedience.
This new chapter is exactly that—a step of faith, a new beginning, and an opportunity to invest in the next generation of young women both on and off the court.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Honestly, I never started social media with the goal of building a big audience.
I originally created my platforms because I was modeling and needed a place to share my work. Over time, though, my life changed. Coaching became a bigger part of my world, and naturally my content changed too.
I started posting clips from practices, training sessions, camps, and games. I shared moments with athletes, lessons I was learning as a coach, and the things I was passionate about. Looking back, I think people connected with the fact that it wasn’t forced. I wasn’t trying to be an influencer, I was just sharing what I genuinely loved doing.
Most of my opportunities have come from relationships. Parents would refer athletes. Athletes would tell their friends. Coaches would reach out. Social media simply gave people a window into my world.
My advice is don’t try to create a version of yourself that you think people want to follow. Be yourself. Share what you’re passionate about. Stay consistent. You never know who is watching or where one connection might lead.
I certainly didn’t know that sharing my coaching journey online would eventually help lead me all the way from Texas to Kentucky to become the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Christian Academy of Louisville.
