We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jada Robinson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jada below.
Alright, Jada thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s one of the most important lessons you learned in school?
The most impactful lesson I learned in school was to never quit. Once you quit you are making the process of your goal longer. I hear so many people say I stopped going to school because things are going crazy in life. No matter what you do, life is going to be crazy. You just have to ride it out and stick to your goals. Things are going to happen and there is never a right time. I seen someone animal die in the mist of them doing hair but they completed the client hair and dealt with the animal afterwards. Things are going to be out of control but you have to control yourself and get the work done. No excuses.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I became a license cosmetologist and I didnt have a niche. I did wigs, sew ins, locs, braids, flat iron ,etc. One day I started working at a loc shop and I fell in love with locs. I love how beautiful locs lay. You can literally do everything with locs. I currently working on laughing a hair growth oil and hair mist for natural hair. These 2 products will keep the clients hair oiled and moisturized. My brand is different because my clients can depend on me. They also know that I get them in and out. My clients never have to wait around and I am very honest with them about everything. I am super proud of the progress that I am making in the loc industry. My work has gotten so much better and I only been doing locs for 2 years now.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
I keep in touch with my clients via social media and texting. I upload my work everyday and when I upload I try to educate my clients as well. Its very important to give as much education as possible. When you educate clients it builds trust with them. Building trust keeps your clients coming back and they sometimes will bring other clients with them.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing clientele is passing out business cards, uploading pictures everyday , and word of mouth. A lot my clients bring me more clients.
