We recently connected with Jacquelyn Roland and have shared our conversation below.

Jacquelyn, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

To be successful starts from clarity of purpose, growth mindset, courage, and self motivation. I started my business as a part time hobby and it grew into more than just a hobby. I look forward every day that I have spray tans and I’m able to help give that little bit of confidence to my clients who are just wanting a tan.
The amount of research, trying products, branching out and being patient as a person has help me get to where I am today.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I do customizable spray tans in Murfreesboro, TN on the square at Serenity Skin. I started out as a mobile business only and now I am in a studio! I started doing spray tans Jan of 2022. Spray tanning is a popular business around my town but growing with your clients and the experience is what will keep your clients coming back. My goal is to make you feel most comfortable around me with little to no clothes on and for your to feel confident the whole time you’re with me. I had branched out of the basic spray tanning brands and I am using more top of the line brands. I am constantly researching which products are also acne friendly since I do work with other estheticians. My spray tans range from a light natural look all the way to my clients who are wanting to be at their darkest color. I make sure to use the correct color for your skin and add other products to the solution for your skin needs.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Word of mouth is how I received and gained a majority of my followers. My clients that have been with me since day one are my true heroes. They have help me spread the word about my business. Now I have my new clients that are returning and also spreading word of mouth. I couldn’t have my business without my clients.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

I recently started my spray tan business in a studio at Serenity Skin. Mackenzie Craig posted one day she was looking for a spray tan artist and I had a few people send me her post and she said vise versa about my page. We met up one afternoon and I knew I was about to be in my studio home. She isn’t a business partner or a cofounder but she is the owner of Serenity Skin and believed in me enough to bring my business into her home and I have loved being there since. Also, that’s how Serenity Sprays became my name. I did have Mobile Glows before but we had to switch that up.
