Jacqueline , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?

The Prestigious Professional was created to be a network and coalition of black business owners and career professionals that specialize in providing culturally responsive services and supports to individuals that face systemic barriers with obtaining meaningful employment and educational opportunities.

We are a unique one of a kind community based professional development firm operating in the social service and mental health field. Our mission is to create a new generation of professionals that leading in the workforce with proactiveness, productivity, purposeful , and prestige for their careers.

Jacqueline , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Coach Jackie is a distinguished business community leader, social justice advocate, humanitarian and recipient of the 2023 influential business leader of the year award from the black business enterprise. As the owner of the Prestigious professional, she focuses on culturally responsive employment services , small business coaching , and workforce development training for multicultural individuals, who are job seekers, students, career professionals and entrepreneurs. Through her work she teach professional how to build towards generational wealth in their careers while also combating social justice issues in the workplace. Appointed by Governor Walz to the Minnesota emerging entrepreneur board, Coach Jackie is dedicated to empowering multicultural professionalism and fostering personal growth and success through meaningful employment and personal development.

I am most proud of the many people I’ve encourage to get alignment with their true purpose and career path. Whether I helping a person with writing a resume to apply for a better job or writing a business plan to start a new venture . I know that I am helping someone achieve a goal that can improve the quality of their life .

I want people to know that the work I do is meaningful and transformational. I love what I do. I love the people I get to work with because I serve people from all walks of life disable , elderly, youth , military, justice involved and entrepreneurs. My work is so multi -dimensional and I enjoy leaning about people life stories and their career goals. I love to be apart of these instrumental moments where people grow and they change to become more.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

As a business owner I believe you have to be committed to your vision and the journey. People on the outside will not understand your position but over time as you grow in your practice and passion the journey just becomes more natural.

Never look at a loss as a failure but only an opportunity to make things better. Entrepreneurship is a free form of art, every milestone is leaving a imprint on your journey that will someday illustrate a picture of your life and who you are to the world

I encourage people to stop being mediocre with their dreams and actually aim for the stars and align with the universe.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

Funding my business has been a journey in itself. Majority of my capital have come from own finances. I managed to start my business at a a low cost and this allowed me to gradually grow my business. I have never received funding from any large banks or corporations. When I started my business , I never attempted to seek a a loan or Capital right away . I wanted to build my business brand and profitability at first. This allowed me to have a more sustainable business.
