We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jacqueline Pirtle. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jacqueline below.
Jacqueline, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
Yes, there was a very clear defining moment that changed the trajectory of my work and my life.
I was born with the ability to see, sense, read, and shift energy, then guided into practicing metaphysical modalities; energy healing, medium-ship, and psychic work. For a long time, I treated it as something private, something I used quietly to help friends, family, and people who found their way to me through word of mouth. I could see patterns in people’s lives long before they could articulate them themselves, and I watched again and again how clarity at the energetic level created real, tangible change.
The defining moment came when I realized I could no longer keep this gift small or hidden. I saw too many people – especially women – working hard, doing all the “right” things, yet feeling unfulfilled, unhappy, or disconnected from themselves. I understood that the missing piece wasn’t effort or discipline. It was energetic alignment.
Choosing to step fully into this work meant trusting something that couldn’t be neatly explained or categorized at the time. It meant letting go of the need for external validation and allowing results to speak for themselves. That decision led me to build my private practice, write my first books, and eventually create FreakyHealer; a space where energy, happiness, and practical tools meet in a grounded, accessible way.
The lesson I learned is simple but powerful: when you stop trying to fit your gifts into someone else’s framework and instead build a framework around your truth, everything changes. Alignment creates momentum. Joy becomes sustainable. And work stops feeling like work and becomes a form of service.
That moment taught me that the most impactful careers are born not from strategy alone, but from the courage to be fully seen doing what you were always meant to do.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Jacqueline Pirtle, an energy healer, author, and the founder of FreakyHealer. For over 30 years, my work has centered on helping people understand their energy so they can live happier, healthier, and more aligned lives. Being and living my ability to see, sense, read, and shift energy from a young age lead me to a natural understanding that what we experience on the outside is always connected to what’s happening on the inside.
I didn’t enter this field through a single job or traditional career path (my background is based in holistic living), instead, people found me. Friends, families, and later clients came to me when things felt stuck, unclear, or out of alignment. Over time, I saw a consistent pattern. When people understood their energetic blueprint and learned how to work with it instead of against it, their lives changed in very real ways. Health improved, relationships softened, clarity returned, and joy became something they could access daily rather than chase.
That understanding shaped everything I do today. Through FreakyHealer, I offer books, journals, card decks, courses, programs, and private energetic sessions designed to make energy work practical, approachable, and empowering. My tools are meant to be used in real life, not put on a shelf. They support people in developing self awareness, emotional clarity, and energetic alignment so happiness becomes a lived experience, not a concept.
What I believe sets my work apart is that I don’t position myself as someone people need to rely on forever. I teach clients how to understand their own energy, trust their inner knowing, and build a relationship with themselves that is strong and honest. My work is deeply intuitive, but also grounded and results driven. It’s about helping people feel good in their bodies, confident in their choices, and connected to who they truly are.
I’m most proud of the impact this work has had over time. I’ve written more than eighteen books for adults and children, sold tens of thousands of copies worldwide, and worked with thousands of people privately and in groups. The common thread in the feedback I receive is not just transformation, but relief. Relief from overthinking, from pressure, from feeling like something is wrong with them. My message is simple and consistent. You’re not broken. You’re just misaligned.
What I want readers to know about me and my brand is that everything I create is rooted in real experience and real results. FreakyHealer exists to remind people that happiness is not a reward for doing life perfectly. It’s an energetic state you can learn to access and sustain. When you align with yourself, life becomes lighter, clearer, and far more joyful. That’s the work I’m here to do, and it’s the work I’ll always stand behind.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One of the most important lessons I had to unlearn was the belief that I had to explain or justify my work in order for it to be valid.
Early on, I felt a quiet pressure to translate what I do into language that made other people comfortable. Energy work does not always fit neatly into traditional frameworks, and for a long time I thought that if I could just explain it better, people would trust it more. What I eventually realized was that clarity does not come from over explaining, it comes from experience and results.
The backstory to this unlearning came through working with clients over many years. I watched people experience real shifts in their health, relationships, confidence, and happiness, often in ways they could not logically explain themselves. Those moments taught me that my role was not to convince anyone, but to create space for people to reconnect with their own inner knowing.
Unlearning the need for validation changed everything. It allowed me to work with more ease, more integrity, and more joy. It also made my work more effective, because I was no longer filtering it through fear or the need to be understood. I began trusting my intuition fully and letting the outcomes speak for themselves.
The lesson I share with others is simple. When you stop trying to prove who you are and start living it, your work becomes clearer, stronger, and more impactful. Alignment creates confidence, and confidence creates trust. That shift has shaped not only my career, but the way I move through life as a whole.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Resilience has shown up for me not in one dramatic moment, but in the quiet consistency of choosing to stay aligned even when life was challenging.
There were seasons where I was holding space for others professionally while navigating deep personal transitions of my own. Family responsibilities, health challenges within my circle, and the emotional weight that can come with intuitive work all required me to be deeply present while also taking care of myself. What made those periods demanding was not the workload, but the responsibility of staying energetically clear so I could continue to serve others with integrity.
The resilience came from learning how to honor my own energy as much as I honor my clients’. I learned to slow down when needed, to say no without guilt, and to trust that rest and recalibration were not signs of weakness but sources of strength. Instead of pushing through, I refined how I worked, created better energetic boundaries, and allowed my work to evolve alongside my life.
That experience shaped the way I teach and guide today. It reinforced my belief that true resilience is not about enduring endlessly, but about listening deeply and responding with care. When you respect your own limits, your work becomes more sustainable, more honest, and ultimately more impactful.
That lesson has stayed with me. Resilience is not about being unbreakable. It is about being willing to adjust, realign, and continue forward in a way that feels true.
