Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jacqueline Mundy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jacqueline, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
Oh, absolutely! At Strategic Cardinal Marketing, we believe marketing should be fun and understandable, not just a bunch of jargon and trends that leave you scratching your head. While the industry is constantly buzzing with the latest fad, we stick to evergreen strategies grounded in stats, analytics, and proven results. We’re all about educating our clients on every action we take, so they feel included, motivated, and most importantly, excited about the strategy.
We take a holistic approach that covers everything from brand awareness and recognition to conversions. We want to basically guide the buyer from the “I have a problem” stages, to the “Thank goodness for that company helping me” stages. We know that many business owners are burned out, stressed out, and struggling with consistency and technology upkeep. So, we aim to make marketing fun again, breathing life into our clients’ strategies while keeping their mission and vision front and center.
One thing that sets us apart is our emphasis on collaboration and risk mitigation. We’re big on working closely with our clients, ensuring that their input shapes the strategy. It’s not just about us telling them what to do; it’s about creating a partnership where their insights and our expertise come together to form a winning strategy. We’re also realistic about risks. Not every idea will be a home run, and that’s okay! We analyze potential risks and have mitigation plans in place so that we can pivot quickly if something isn’t working as expected.
One of my favorite situations that I see over and over again, are when business owners come to us overwhelmed and frustrated and just wanting a sense of calm. It is no surprise to anyone that business owners wear multiple hats and jungle so many moving pieces. Which means when it comes to marketing demand, it can be extremely overwhelming. When we step in, we break everything down into bite-sized, manageable pieces, and infused a bit of fun into the process. Not only do our clients start seeing amazing results, but they also regain their enthusiasm for their business. That’s what it’s all about for us—making marketing enjoyable, collaborative, and effective while being mindful of the risks along the way!

Jacqueline, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
First things first, I’m Jackie! I’m a 32-year-old passionate marketer who’s all about making marketing fun, relatable, and impactful. My journey into the marketing world started with a sales background with a fascination for how brands connect with people and a desire to make those connections more genuine and enjoyable. Over the years, that curiosity turned into a full-blown love affair with building businesses from the ground up and helping others create these incredible legacies and develop their empires. Being a part of that, is seriously the coolest part of what I get to do.
With years of sales experience, I always found myself looking at my marketing team asking for more. I kept saying if they could get more materials, more leads, more resources, I could just sell more. And that’s when I decided that I could make a greater impact for more companies by reversing my role and switching into the marketing side of business. That is when I decided to start Strategic Cardinal Marketing- a full service marketing agency that allows me to help ease the frustrations that business owners go through on a regular basis.
At Strategic Cardinal Marketing, we’re more than just a digital marketing firm – we’re a faith-driven, full-service agency committed to delivering innovative marketing solutions with integrity and excellence. We go beyond the conventional, specializing in the full client journey from initial awareness to conversion. Whether it’s coding websites, implementing advanced SEO strategies, managing social media campaigns, or setting up email automations, we handle everything in between to ensure a strong digital presence for our clients.
We work with a diverse range of clients, from startups and nonprofits to big names like NFL partners. In less than three years, we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with over 75 different companies of all sizes, industries and revenue levels. Our services are all about creating memorable brand experiences, with a strong focus on SEO, lead generation, and sales training. We don’t just attract leads; we effectively communicate with them, nurture relationships, and ultimately convert them into loyal customers.

Our strategies are always tailored to align with your specific goals and values. Plus, we’re big on collaboration and transparency, ensuring that our clients are always in the loop and feel like an integral part of the process.
One of the things I’m most proud of is our commitment to integrity, honesty, and service. These timeless values are at the core of everything we do, combined with innovative digital strategies to help our clients succeed. We’re dedicated to delivering personalized solutions, whether you’re a nonprofit, small business, or large corporation.
So, if you’re looking for a marketing partner who’s just as excited about your success as you are, who brings a mix of fun, innovation, and timeless values to the table, then Strategic Cardinal Marketing is here for you!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
When I first moved down to Greenville, SC, I didn’t know a soul. Networking felt super uncomfortable, and I definitely found myself comparing my business to others. It made getting my name out there a slower journey than I’d like to admit. But, because I didn’t have a lot of social distractions, I could truly invest so much more time and effort into my clients’ successes and strategies because, honestly, I had nothing else to do!
When you pour your heart into your clients and start seeing their businesses transform, celebrating success after success, it’s only natural to become more excited and, often, friends with them. I do really believe that a client will become a friend before a friend becomes a client. Unfortunately, that’s the name of the game in the competitive entrepreneur era we’ve seen over the last several years.
My client’s enthusiasm about their business growth was contagious—people around them were curious about the differences being made, and my clients were happy to refer me. Greenville is such a town of who do you know, and where networking is king. So, I focused on building a strong name and reputation. I always want my work and results to have real value.
I learned that the more I poured into my clients, the more my business and reputation naturally grew. I just strive to be better every day, and that dedication to excellence is something my clients have come to recognize and appreciate.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One big lesson I had to unlearn was the idea that I needed to know every platform. There’s a common misconception about owning a marketing agency, where people expect you to be an expert on every platform, every strategy, every new trend, and every algorithm hack. That expectation can be a huge weight to carry.
I realized that it’s okay not to know every single platform inside and out. Instead, what’s important is the willingness to find the right strategy or the right person who does know the platform well. By humbling myself to constantly learn and admitting when someone else on my team is better suited for a specific platform, I was able to give myself grace. Technology and digital marketing are always evolving, and no one can keep up with everything.
My clients appreciated the dedication to finding the correct answers without wasting time or resources, and they valued the transparency and honesty. When you try to be everything to everyone, you end up being nothing to nobody. So, when clients suggest a new platform, I’m upfront with them. I let them know if it’s new to me, and then I dive in. I take all the resource plans, training academies, do my research, and go down the rabbit hole to ensure I can deliver the best for them.
Being honest about my limitations took a lot of pressure off of me. It motivated me to surround myself with people who challenge my skill sets, who push me to do more, and from whom I can learn. By learning this lesson, I hired people who were better than me in certain areas, who pushed me, and together we all grew. That was the game changer. This approach not only strengthened my business but also built a culture of continuous learning and mutual support.
