We recently connected with Jacqueline Lee Breda and have shared our conversation below.
Jacqueline Lee, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Was there a moment in your career that meaningfully altered your trajectory? If so, we’d love to hear the backstory.
I had been working in the fashion industry in NYC for many years. I thought it was the path that I wanted, however, it wasn’t fulfilling. I knew there was something deeper to life but didn’t know what it was yet. One day I was scrolling through social media and found a school called IIN (The Insitute for Integrative Nutrition). I always loved food and health and decided it was time to try something new. While enrolled in the course, I had an ah-ha moment. I had suffered a deep trauma as a child and had buried it in my subconscious until this moment came. I knew it was time to speak up and heal. I started by telling my family and friends. Simultaneously, I began a deep spiritual awakening, opening me to my psychic senses. I took a class to assist me in navigating this journey and over the years developed this skill. During COVID-19, I lost my job and my friend invited me to travel with her. Taking a risk, I put all of my things in storage and moved to Mexico. I met my now husband who was from Peru. I traveled with him to Peru, learning different shamanic skills. I realized how deeply I had healed my trauma with the assistance of my spirit guides and decided to teach other people how to do the same.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I began my journey of shamanic practices through my spiritual awakening in 2018. I began healing my childhood trauma and at the same time, my psychic senses were heightened. I worked with a mentor who taught me how to connect with my spirit guides and download information from them. Through conversations with a friend, we realized that we had the same trauma but were at a loss when it came to working with a therapist. I had a difficult time finding a therapist who understood both my childhood trauma as well as the spiritual awakening that came with the healing. We decided to work shamanicly to heal. Over the years, I did reiki training, learning energy work, and the chakras. I tied that into my background in nutrition, helping people to balance their energy through food. I now work to assist people going through grief and trauma to heal holistically in all areas of their lives. Over the past few years, my husband has taught me about the sacred plant medicine Ayahuasca as he is from Peru. I have now incorporated this plant medicine into my practice. I love to work with people who are committed to their healing process. I guide them to see that they are their own healer, awakening their soul once again to the beauty of life. In my practice, I use energy work, spirit guidance, nutritional information, and plant medicine to assist people in healing and balancing their energy.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
About two years ago, I spent six months writing an online course for women to heal with the guidance of spirit. I was extremely enthused while writing it, yet when it came time to market the course, I was stuck. I had one client who purchased it though as I went to sell it online my freeze response took over. Finally, a few months ago I was speaking with a friend about life and as we talked I lit up at the idea of going deeper into the food/nutrition/chakra connection. I realized that the course I had written wasn’t a failure, it was simply misplaced. I spoke to a friend with whom I have a psychic business about shifting it over to our business. We are in the process of shifting it to fit our business. My advice here would be when you feel excited about something but it’s not working it may not be in alignment. How can you take a step back and reassess?

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
When I was 14, I got my first job at my family’s jewelry store. From there, I spent the coming years working in retail. I went to college in NYC and worked in the luxury fashion industry for almost 20 years. This experience taught me resilience and the logical way to approach building a business. During the last six years, my psychic development taught me to use my gut instinct. This development has been the most crucial for me in my personal and business life. Learning how to trust myself, take risks, and know that I am Divinely supported (as we all are) has helped me do things I wouldn’t have done otherwise.
