We were lucky to catch up with Jacob Steinberger recently and have shared our conversation below.
Jacob, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for Wellness with Jacob came from a growing sense of frustration I experienced while working in a hospital. Every day, I saw people struggling with pain and chronic conditions, yet many weren’t finding the relief they were looking for through conventional treatments alone. I often felt helpless watching patients continue to suffer despite receiving care. That experience opened my eyes to the value of holistic wellness and inspired me to explore approaches that focused on supporting the body naturally rather than simply managing symptoms.
After becoming a massage therapist, I quickly realized I had found a way to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. As my client base grew at the spa where I was working, I ran into a new problem: I was becoming too busy to see many of my clients consistently enough to help them achieve lasting results. I knew that true healing and long-term pain relief often require ongoing care, education, and accountability—not just an occasional appointment. That realization ultimately led me to start Wellness with Jacob.
What excited me most was the opportunity to create the kind of practice I felt was missing in the industry. Too often, massage therapy is treated as either a luxury service or a quick fix. I wanted to build something different: a wellness practice centered around genuine relationships, personalized care, and long-term results. My goal was never just to provide a great massage session. I wanted to become a trusted resource who could educate clients, help them understand their bodies, and create wellness plans that extended far beyond the treatment room.
Today, my work focuses on targeted pain relief, mobility, recovery, and holistic wellness. Every session is tailored to the individual, and I provide personalized at-home wellness strategies that complement the hands-on work we do together. I believe the most effective care happens when clients understand why they’re experiencing pain and have the tools to actively participate in their own recovery.
I believe Wellness with Jacob has grown because people recognize that I genuinely care about their outcomes. I take the time to educate, remember details about their lives and health goals, and provide support that goes beyond a single appointment. My commitment to continued learning has also been a major part of my success, with over 30 certifications that allow me to offer a broad range of knowledge and techniques to meet each client’s unique needs.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been seeing real, life-changing results. I’ve worked with clients who were able to avoid planned joint replacement surgeries after committing to consistent care and lifestyle changes. I’ve also helped many individuals reduce their reliance on certain medications through holistic wellness plans developed in collaboration with their healthcare providers. Stories like these continually reinforce why I started this business in the first place.
At its core, Wellness with Jacob is about making wellness approachable, affordable, and accessible for people at every stage of life. I want people to know they have options and that there are many ways to support their health beyond simply relying on medication. Building a practice that empowers people to take control of their well-being has been the most fulfilling part of this journey, and it’s what continues to motivate me every day.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My name is Jacob Steinberger, and I’m the founder of Wellness with Jacob, a wellness practice focused on therapeutic massage, pain relief, mobility, recovery, and holistic health education. My mission is simple: help people feel better, move better, and live healthier lives through personalized care that addresses the root causes of discomfort rather than just temporarily masking symptoms.
My journey into the wellness industry began while working in a hospital. Although I was passionate about helping people, I often found myself feeling frustrated when I saw patients continue to struggle despite receiving treatment. Many people were looking for answers, relief, and guidance that extended beyond conventional approaches. That experience led me to explore holistic wellness and eventually pursue a career in massage therapy, where I discovered a hands-on way to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
As I gained experience and built a loyal client base, I realized that many people weren’t just looking for a massage—they were looking for someone who would truly listen, educate them, and help them develop a long-term plan for improving their health. That realization inspired me to create Wellness with Jacob.
Today, I specialize in targeted pain relief, injury recovery, mobility improvement, stress reduction, and overall wellness support. While massage therapy is at the core of what I do, I view every session as part of a larger strategy. I work closely with clients to understand their goals, identify contributing factors to their pain or limitations, and develop personalized wellness plans that include both hands-on treatment and practical at-home recommendations.
One of the things that sets me apart is the level of care and attention I invest in each client. I don’t believe wellness should be a one-size-fits-all experience. I take time to educate my clients, answer questions, remember details about their progress, and provide ongoing support between sessions. My goal is to empower people with the knowledge and tools they need to take an active role in their own health and recovery.
I’m also deeply committed to continuing education. Throughout my career, I’ve earned more than 30 certifications related to massage therapy, recovery, mobility, and wellness. I believe that constantly expanding my knowledge allows me to better serve my clients and provide solutions tailored to their unique needs.
What I’m most proud of isn’t the growth of the business—it’s the impact I’ve been able to have on people’s lives. I’ve worked with clients who regained activities they thought they had lost forever, avoided major procedures after committing to consistent wellness practices, improved their mobility, reduced chronic pain, and regained confidence in their bodies. Seeing someone return to the hobbies, work, or lifestyle they love because they finally feel better is incredibly rewarding.
The growth of Wellness with Jacob has largely come through trust and relationships. Multiple local health and wellness businesses have chosen to sponsor, recommend, and promote my services because they’ve seen the results my clients achieve. That support has helped me reach more people while staying true to the values that inspired me to start this business in the first place.
Above all, I want people to know that wellness doesn’t have to be intimidating, complicated, or reserved for a select few. I believe everyone deserves access to quality care, education, and support regardless of where they are in their health journey. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, managing chronic pain, looking to improve performance, or simply trying to feel their best, my goal is to provide a welcoming environment where they feel heard, supported, and empowered.
At Wellness with Jacob, the focus isn’t just on helping people feel better for an hour—it’s about helping them create lasting improvements that positively impact their everyday lives.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I believe my reputation has been built on a combination of genuine care, consistency, education, and results. From the very beginning, I’ve approached every client as an individual rather than just another appointment on my schedule. I take the time to listen, understand their goals, remember important details about their health journey, and create personalized treatment plans designed around their specific needs.
One of the biggest factors has been my commitment to going beyond the treatment room. I don’t view my role as simply providing a massage; I see myself as a wellness partner. I educate clients about their bodies, provide at-home strategies to support their progress, and stay invested in their long-term success. Many clients tell me that this level of attention and follow-up is something they haven’t experienced elsewhere.
My dedication to continuing education has also played a major role. With more than 30 certifications and ongoing training, I’ve made it a priority to continually expand my knowledge so I can provide the highest level of care possible. Clients appreciate knowing they’re working with someone who is constantly learning and refining their skills.
Word-of-mouth referrals have been the foundation of my growth. When people experience meaningful improvements in their pain, mobility, or overall well-being, they naturally share those experiences with friends, family, and coworkers. Over time, that trust has extended beyond individual clients, leading several local health and wellness businesses to sponsor, recommend, and promote my services to their own communities.
Ultimately, I think my reputation comes down to one simple principle: people know that I genuinely care. My goal has never been to maximize the number of appointments I can book. It’s to help people achieve lasting improvements in their quality of life. When clients feel supported, valued, and see real progress, trust naturally follows—and trust is what has built my reputation in the market.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Building strong relationships with clients is one of the most important parts of my business. I stay in touch through a combination of personal communication, follow-up recommendations, social media, and ongoing wellness education. Rather than treating each appointment as a standalone service, I focus on building long-term relationships and supporting clients throughout their wellness journey.
After sessions, I often provide personalized recommendations, stretches, mobility exercises, or lifestyle suggestions that are specific to each client’s goals and needs. This helps clients continue making progress between appointments and reinforces that their health is a priority even when they’re not in my treatment room.
I also stay active on social media, where I share educational content, wellness tips, recovery strategies, and insights that help people better understand their bodies and overall health. My goal is to provide value consistently, whether someone is an active client or simply following my content online.
One of the biggest drivers of loyalty has been creating an experience where clients feel genuinely heard, remembered, and cared for. I make an effort to remember details about their lives, previous concerns, and long-term goals so that every visit feels personalized rather than transactional. Clients know they can ask questions, seek guidance, and receive honest recommendations that are focused on what’s best for them.
I also believe trust plays a major role in client retention. By consistently delivering personalized care, continuing to expand my education, and maintaining open communication, I’ve been able to build relationships that often last for years. Many of my clients become strong advocates for my business, referring friends, family members, and coworkers because they’ve experienced firsthand the level of care and attention I provide.
At the end of the day, fostering loyalty isn’t about marketing tactics—it’s about consistently showing up, providing value, and genuinely caring about the people I serve. When clients feel supported and see positive results, long-term relationships develop naturally.
