We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jaclyn E.. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jaclyn below.
Jaclyn , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
From a very young age, I knew I wanted to pursue music professionally. I started piano lessons at three and was always singing, on road trips with my iPod, at home with YouTube lyric videos, or mimicking artists I admired.
By the age of ten, I knew in my heart I wanted to be a singer. I didn’t know exactly how I’d get there, but I always dreamed of making it my career.

Jaclyn , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a singer, piano player, songwriter, and entertainer, and I run my own company, Jaclyn E Music LLC. Music has been part of my life since I was three years old, sitting at the piano, and I’ve never stopped chasing it. What started as singing with my headphones on road trips, turned into me performing across the country at venues, resorts, and private events.
What makes me different is that I don’t just play piano. I sing, I connect, I entertain. I love pulling people in, creating moments where they laugh, sing along, or just feel the music in a real way. When someone books me or my dueling pianos show, they’re not just booking background music; they’re booking an experience.
I’m proud that I built this from the ground up on my own…every gig, every show, every step forward. For me, the mission is simple: bring joy, bring energy, and create nights people will actually remember. Music is my passion, but it’s also my way of giving people something to feel, and that’s what keeps me inspired.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of what I do is the freedom to express myself. Writing and releasing music has always been a form of therapy, it’s my outlet. Everyone needs a way to release their emotions, and music is mine. Through it, I can pour out my feelings, my heartbreak, and show the rawest version of myself. Sometimes, it’s easier to sing the words than to speak them out loud, and in sharing my songs, I’m also releasing those emotions from my soul. It’s healing, and it’s the most honest way I know how to connect with the world.

Do you think there is something that non-creatives might struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can shed some light?
I think a lot of people don’t realize that my work truly is a full-time job. As both an entertainer and an entrepreneur, I’m responsible not only for performing at night but also for booking the majority of my own gigs and running the business side of things. From the outside, it can look like I just show up and play music, but that’s only half of the picture.
I often compare it to an iceberg: the performance in front of an audience is just the visible tip. Beneath the surface lies everything people don’t see such as: maintaining vocal health, practicing my instruments, traveling between shows, and handling the logistics that make each performance possible. That includes countless phone calls, emails, contracts, and ongoing communication with venues and event planners. What the audience sees is the final product, but there’s an entire foundation of work beneath it that allows the show to happen.
