We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jaclyn Andrews. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jaclyn below.
Hi Jaclyn, thanks for joining us today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
There have been two pivotal moments that reshaped the course of my career. The first was developing a stress-induced ulcer. The second was realizing that Life doesn’t happen to me—it happens from me.
I looked to external circumstances and work in particular for fulfillment for my entire life, creating a constant emotional rollercoaster. That imbalance eventually manifested physically and I developed a stress-induced ulcer, which became the catalyst for a major shift in my life.
The very same week I was diagnosed, I was introduced to a life-coaching program. I jumped at the opportunity—not only to help myself, but to learn how I might help others.
Despite the ulcer, I stayed in the same high-stress job. Deep down, I knew the real issue wasn’t the job—it was me. By choosing to stay, I witnessed a profound transformation: the more I shifted internally, the more my outer circumstances began to reflect that change. I moved from feeling like a victim to being in control—and that was only the beginning.
After completing the life-coaching program, I became compelled by the impact of food on our physical and emotional health. That exploration led me to Ayurveda—a life science that takes into consideration the whole person and the universal connection. My heart melted. I knew I had found my path.
From that dedication, I created a workplace program called Purpose & Performance, where I helped clients move from work-life balance to work-life flow—dissolving the boundaries between work and play and recognizing Life as a cohesive, interconnected experience shaped by their choices.
At the time, I was still earning a living through my previous profession, all while nurturing my deeper calling. There were periods when I was fully immersed in both worlds—my established career and my heart’s desire. Eventually, that dual path ended, and the Real Work began.
I faced an extended period without steady work, which forced me to let go of all my preferences—job titles, income, and even housing. But I never let go of my Vision.
I started saying yes to opportunities my mind couldn’t fully understand, Trusting they were Guiding me toward my Highest good. And they were. I learned that it’s not about what I do, but How I do it. That shift in perspective impacted every area of my life and I began to experience True Freedom.
I came to understand, at a deep level, that my beliefs and attitudes shape my reality. Those beliefs generate emotions, which directly influence my health. Releasing the limitations I had placed on myself, stepping into the Truth of who I am, and being of Service from that place continues to be the Greatest, most Beautiful Source of Joy I could imagine.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m Jaclyn, the founder of I Am Ayurveda and the creator of the Life Purpose program. My journey into this field began with one of many personal transformations. After a lifetime of looking for happiness outside of myself and experiencing chronic stress and burnout–ultimately leading to a stress-induced ulcer, I began to realize the deep connection between emotional well-being and physical health. That wake-up call sparked my commitment to holistic healing and Self-discovery.
I first became a certified life coach, which helped me shift from a victim mindset to having more Control. This perspective heightened my curiosity about other aspects of Life which led me to discover my heart’s desire: Ayurveda—a Life science that honors the connection of the mind, body, and Spirit.
Today, I offer purpose-focused coaching and counseling sessions and a comprehensive Ayurvedic program that blends deep self-reflection with actionable goals. These offerings are rooted in the Wisdom of Life and are designed to support individuals in aligning their inner experience with their innate Purpose. Through these one-on-one sessions, I help clients dissolve stress, reconnect with their Inner Wisdom, and move through Life with greater Clarity and ease.
What sets my work apart is the fusion of ancient wisdom with modern-day practicality—rooted in the deep Understanding that True transformation begins from Within. In this way, I support clients through meaningful, sustainable change as they regain balance and Harmony through Intentional living and Awaken to their highest potential. Whether I’m supporting someone one-on-one or creating Inspiring dance music (coming soon!) my mission is the same: to help people realize their full potential by Empowering them to put their health – mind, body, and Spirit into their own hands.
If there’s one thing I’d love potential clients or followers to know, it’s this: Life happens from You– your circumstances are created by your attitude and beliefs–which impact your emotional well-being and physical health; there’s always an answer and You are It. My work honors this–the unique inner calling to release feelings of lack and limitation and step fully into a state of Expansion.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
One of the most pivotal moments that tested and ultimately strengthened my resilience was when I found myself at a crossroads between stability and Purpose. I had built a successful career in a traditional field, but deep down, I felt unfulfilled. When I began directing my Attention toward personal growth while having the deep desire to help others, I knew I was being called to something Greater—but making that shift wasn’t easy.
At one point, I was without steady work, uncertain of how or when my Purpose would translate into a sustainable path. Instead of clinging to fear, I chose to Surrender. I said yes to opportunities that I would have previously dismissed while maintaining my Vision, and staying committed to showing up with Intention—no matter the external circumstances, I Understood it wasn’t what I was doing, it was how I was doing it.
That experience taught me that resilience isn’t about pushing harder; it’s about aligning deeper. It’s about meeting Life with Grace, Trusting the process, and Knowing that Life happens from me–not to me. That lesson continues to shape how I live, work, and support others.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the most powerful lessons I’ve been able to unlearn was the belief that the quality of my life depended on external conditions.
For a long time, I thought my happiness and well-being were determined by my circumstances—my job, relationships, finances, and how smoothly life was going. When things were good, I felt good; when they weren’t, I felt out of control. This victim mindset kept me on an emotional rollercoaster and disconnected me from my Inner Wisdom.
The shift began when I enrolled in a life coaching program and started to study Ayurveda. Gradually, I came to Understand that Real Peace and Fulfillment come from Within—and that I shape what’s happening around me by how I choose to perceive and respond to it. That Realization helped me reclaim Responsibility for my experience and align me more deeply with my Truth.
Unlearning that old belief gave me a new sense of Freedom. It showed me that I have complete Control over the Quality of my Life—which is something I now help others Discover through my work.
