We recently connected with Jackson Toth/ Samson The Strong and have shared our conversation below.
Jackson Toth/ , appreciate you joining us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
You know honestly if you asked me 10 years ago what would I imagine my life like today, I wouldn’t have imagined this. I would have probably said I’m an NFL Player or a Professor or something in the political arena. Never would I have thought I would get to pursue my dream of being a great artist especially in the city I grew up in. I have lived in Pine Hills/ West Side Orlando all my life I have seen this city change and evolve people come and go over 20 years. When I was a younger man I used to be a dreamer and a poet and would always say I’m going to make music and make something that no one has ever heard of and other kids would say I’m stupid or ill never accomplish anything. And sure was I discouraged sure i believe it was me being bullied for most of my childhood that drove me towards football, powerlifting, and bodybuilding.
I think my anger and drive to improve myself and become bigger than my opposition was a driving factor that lead me to play college football and follow the path I have been down to this moment now. I use that same drive and determination when it comes to my music, my ideas, my creations, and everything I invest my time and energy into. And actually I still work a 9-5 Job as a Racetrack Manager in order to self fund my music career and grow as far as I can. It’s my hope that a label will see me for who I am and what an impact my music and my ideas will have on the world and the way I can change the game forever. Currently I get paid 16$ an hour and work 40 hours a week to pay my rent all my bills and still try and budget. My debut album titled Interstellar will cost around 3,000$ in production costs, $2000 in marketing costs, and another thousand in legal fees to protect this amazing work of music. I personally think this will be a groundbreaking in the industry once this is released I hope that we can achieve this having lack of funds and no investors no business partners no one who wants to help us grow this music this brand this desperate need for an impact. I definitely wouldn’t change from where I am I have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this work of music and I will probably go broke trying to get this out there. But the world needs to hear this and if this is a chance to change my life and my family’s life forever and build a legacy that can’t be destroyed then if God is with me who can be against me. I hope one day we find that partner who will want to help us change the world but until then I will fight to get this out there everyday I can and build something amazing for my children and the future of all the next generations to come and lead us into the future.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I have always had a wild imagination since I was a child. I fell in love with music when I first heard Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Earth Wind and Fire. Ever since the day I heard music I have never been able to get it out of my head it’s kind of like a walking talking radio 247. I can sing almost every song from 1920-2024 by heart and that’s just because I love music. But what really made me fall in love with music was poetry. I used to write poems and have journals of them. The words, the feelings, the emotions, the burdens that these words carried. And the bigger impact only a few words could possibly have. Never did I think this would translate into something as who I am now and what I can create if given the chance. As most people know I was a college football athlete received a life altering concussion moved back to Florida and began to focus on my dream. I believe that after all this time all I need is one label to come along and go we want to partner with you and change music forever. I believe with the right team and the right label behind me I don’t see why we can’t put ourselves with Micheal Jackson, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, The weekend why can’t we be bigger and better than them, and why shouldn’t we aim to be better than what came before us. I want to bring something back that the world left behind. I make clean music, family safe music, but gives you the same feeling as regular secular music. I want something that’s positive and meaningful and still tells a story but of inspiration and hope. I’m tired of seeing these kids grow up and become something they want to be because of the environment they were raised in. I want something better, I want to change everything forever and create something that we used to be proud of that our kids could share with us and we didn’t have to worry about what kind of impact the music would have on them like we do today. Now that being said I do not speak down upon any regular secular artist or any CHH Gospel artist or any artist in general. I just think we need to take it a step back and see what impact we have on the world. All these major artists Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, the weekend, future, metro boomin they all have access to millions of dollars and influence over the whole world yet they do nothing with it besides get rich with it while the rest of the world suffers. Why can’t no one use their platform to push change and equality and positivity? Because there is no money in that and we live in a world where money comes in front of human lives, and that’s why I want to change the came from that and bring the music back to the people for the people by the people.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Don’t trust anyone, Everyone is out to get you ruin you and use you. My hard part was that i thought i had people in my corner for once and that they fought for me and what we were fighting to create. And then i realized it wasn’t about the music it was about fueling their own egos. And at that point i walked away from everything and went on my own and created something bigger and better than we ever dreamed of. I think if i could look back i would have been farther ahead if i was more weary to work with people who weren’t working for and with me instead of trying to destiny everything and everyone. Sometimes people don’t understand when there comes a point and moment in your life when you can change everything or let everything slip for an ego and they never learn.

Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Honestly Dune, Interstellar, Star Wars and Marvel are the biggest influences over my life besides decades of musical Extraordinary individuals. They tell a story about the world and how they have one person who tries to fix everything against one opposition. What most people don’t see is the real world applications these movies have. They don’t see them at face value for what they are and what purpose they have. They are meant to inspire us, drive us, build a fire is us that pushes us as humanity to evolution from this way of life we have stuck ourselves in living. Before the year 2000 man was constantly thriving and inventing new ways to build things and push us closer into the future. In today’s society we see humanity has lost that aspect of ourselves. We used to be explorers and now we’re colonizers who settle on land and settle in our own lives.
