Jackie, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

In all our businesses we are family-driven, lifestyle-oriented, and ambitious. We always see a bigger picture, our goal is to offer a generational legacy of financial security and freedom of life. When I became self-employed and launched my first business venture, it was a learning experience – educating myself on all facets of business, operations, finance, marketing, etc…

Going through all this was a real-time – real-life example for my children to watch and learn. Seeing it and understanding it from the fundamental foundation of the business, I believe, gives them a sense of involvement and understanding of how creating something for ourselves can be a combination of highs and lows, but also the rewards we can gain from it.

My businesses are ultimately for the benefit of my family, to offer a beautiful and comfortable lifestyle, and to show that no glass ceiling exists.

Greetings, I’m Jackie Sinclair, an entrepreneur and digital marketing expert based in Southern California. My entrepreneurial journey began after overcoming cervical cancer at 29, igniting a passion to harmonize family life with professional ambitions. Alongside my husband, we’ve ventured into multiple successful business endeavors, prioritizing workplaces filled with joy while blending our likes and dislikes to create a positive environment for our team. Hosting an Emmy-nominated TV show on community, real estate, and lifestyle was a pivotal highlight, broadening my horizons and reinforcing the importance of sharing inspiring stories.

Our business philosophy is rooted in our merged experiences, shaping a workplace where everyone can thrive. I specialize in digital marketing, design, and strategy, driven by my enthusiasm for empowering others in the industry. Balancing my roles as a wife, mother, and entrepreneur has been integral to my journey, where finding harmony between personal and professional spheres remains a constant pursuit. I always jump at the chance to share my experience of managing businesses, hosting the TV show, and continuing to show up for myself, my business, and family, emphasizing my commitment to creating workplaces that foster happiness and growth for all.

Have you ever had to pivot?

In 2020, many small businesses ended up closing – the world shut down and panic took over. Some took it as early retirement, some took it as a sign to move on, and a select few took advantage of it! That’s what I did. I doubled down on my Social Media Services because everything had turned to online due to shutdowns. So I reached out to local businesses and offered my online help to keep their business afloat. For some businesses, I just did consultations, while others utilized me for all my knowledge and support. It’s been one of the best choices I have made in business, and 2020 was one of my highest profit years to date.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I built my reputation by being visible and offering free value to my audience. I would go do customized training for groups, no fee, just gaining and growing my audience. I’ve offered 1:1 help to prospects just to show what my knowledge and expertise cover. I built my business by showing up and being valuable to my groups and clients. I am proud to say the paid marketing I’ve done has been so small that almost all my clients have been by referral or word of mouth. I believe that stands on it’s own to show how my reputation has served me and others in the community.
