Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jackie Brewer. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Jackie, thanks for joining us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
At the risk of being too broad, I have to say women are my heroes. So many of them. My sister, my mom, my mother in law, my sisters in law. My friends. I was told once by a dear friend not to be jealous of other women. It has stuck with me. We are lucky to know each other. We should implement the women around us, their ideas and behaviors when they speak to our heart. We should cheer all women on and stop judging them. We should want success for them in all their endeavors.
I am so blessed by the women in my life. My sister Maegan is my partner in real estate, my strength and my sanity. My mom is my example. My sister in law Carly shares my style vibes and comforts my soul. My sister in law Paula gives me another little sister and I LOVE being that big sister. And on and on and on. Honestly I love all my sisters in law and they have all taught me so much. My friend Jessica knows my love language. My friend Rhonda inspires me every single day with her hustle. As you can see, women make up a large part of the fiber of my being. I love taking a tip here, and advice there that makes ME a better woman. Beyond real estate as I try to flex my creative muscles and stretch what I’m capable of, women in business like Janine Vangool from Uppercase Magazine or Marie Forleo and her amazing B course training have influenced me. My “bookstagram” friend Georgi touches my heart regularly from another state.
Women need women. I have 5 sons, 4 are still living and I hope they know how important that is. In 2020 I was blessed with a baby girl after those 5 boys, loosing a son who was almost 2 and having fertility issues for several years. She is all ready showing me her iron will and beautiful heart, and I know she will become another great woman.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I always considered myself more of a creative than a business suit. But real estate found me when I was grieving the loss of my baby boy. And I have loved it! My partner and sister Maegan and I work together, and we have 11 kids between us. We KNOW how personal and how important homes are. We can help families see potential anywhere, and we can guide them in styling and decor to sell a home for top dollar. We care about all of our clients and remain in touch. Recently I have been exploring the idea of art therapy and plan to have retreats for women. Creative and endeavors literally saved my life from grief. I love doing projects, from home deco to crocheting to collecting books to weaving to journal making. I strongly believe art can heal and anyone can do art with the right coaching. I also am starting a business with my spouse Jon, he is an RN who got certified in Botox and derma fillers and we hope to serve our entire community and have more local options. So basically I will find you a house, decorate it, become your best friend and schedule your Botox! What more do you need haha. I am the woman I am today because of Jon. I love him dearly.
How’d you meet your business partner?
In 2014 I lost my son suddenly in an automobile related accident. It was crushing. My sister Maegan is married to a realtor who owns a firm here locally. We decided to go get our licenses to work for him, and he’s a great support. I never imagined how much that would help me. It turns out real estate is more creative and fulfilling than I ever thought it would be! We may not show up in a power suit, more than likely we will be in a tee shirt and tennies. But we have amazing clients and are always looking to scale our business.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
I started “bookstagram” in 2016 as a creative outlet and a good excuse to fuel my book collecting addiction. I quickly gained followers, back in the “pre algorithm” good ol days. We all know how that ends, and my engagement has dropped significantly the past few years. I don’t love reels, and I think I’m being left behind. Janine Vangool from Uppercase magazine inspires me all the time with her magazine and collection of Encyclopedia for “the curious and creative.” Because of her I am currently enrolled in Marie Forleo’s B School which has ignited a fire in my brain for the things I want to focus on creatively and in real estate. I have this big blessing of my license and there is untapped potential in that. I had a huge ah ha moment and knew how I could strive to be more successful in my work. It helped me really focus in on my strengths, my goals, and how I could push myself as an agent. I am more excited about real estate now than ever before. I may even get over my Instagram hurdle and kill it with books as a result! I know I can marry my creative skills with my profession in real estate, and I have so many ideas about how to buy or sell a home to make it the best experience. It’s a huge deal! A home purchase is SO personal and so important. I want working with my sister and I to be personal and important as a result. I want to grow as much as I can as an agent and bring new ideas to the table. I know from my own trauma how much creating heals my soul. I want to share those ideas in regards to home purchases with anyone that will listen!
