We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Jack Nyawanga. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Jack below.
Alright, Jack thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My mission was to use recycled bones and horn to create jobs in the slums, solve air pollution and make unique high end accessories for the world market. It was a challenge, but I was determined to make it a success. I had to walk thru the streets and butcheries, searching for discarded bones and horn so that I could repurpose into something beautiful.
As I worked tirelessly in my workshop, shaping and molding the bones and horn into pleasing designs, I couldn’t help but marvel at the transformation taking place before my eyes. Each piece I created was a testament to the power of recycling and the beauty that could be found in the most unexpected places.
In the end, my hard work paid off. My handmade creations were met with awe and admiration, and I knew that I had succeeded in my mission to use recycled materials to create something truly special and change making to me and many lives. It was a reminder that with a little creativity and ingenuity, anything is possible.

born in 1983 in Kenya, I’m remarkable entrepreneur and the visionary founder of the emerging fashion brand, VICTORIOUS CRAFTS GROUP. His journey to success has been anything but conventional. At a young age, Jack faced significant challenges that led him to drop out of school for two and a half years, spending that time navigating the streets of the city. During this difficult period, he encountered the harsh realities of life, including a harrowing experience where he narrowly escaped death from a police shooting. Determined to change his trajectory, Jack returned to education, enrolling in a vocational program where he earned a certificate in fashion design.
