Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Jack Harvey. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Jack, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

So when I was about seven years old the icon Michael Jackson had passed away. I remember it was all over the news and my family was really sad about hearing this ,but at the time I didn’t know about his impact on the world and who he was. No one introduced me to his music or showed me any of his videos, so I took it upon myself to learn who he was. And when I did I was so obsessed with everything he had worked on. Discovering him for myself was really a turning point, I was so inspired that I wanted to dance and create music myself. And when I started to practice and try things myself it’s like it just came naturally to me. Since elementary school I have been writing songs, and studying those I look up to and what I love about music. Flows, melodies,lyrics.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am really proud of my music and creative ideas. I know as of right now it may not be many but I think its perceived pretty well and people can see I actually care about what I do. I really want people to see my passion for creating and just how hard I push to be better and make sure whenever I put something out that it’s amazing, and something you wouldn’t expect to see.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

To me the most rewarding part is finishing a project exactly the way I wanted it to turn out. I have been blessed to work with people who understand a vision I am trying to get out or a certain sound. To me that’s just magic, for an idea to go from my head and make it into reality for people to see is amazing.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My passion and love for creating is really what pushes it. I just truly believe this is my purpose and that makes me want to strive for more and be better. To have better lyrics, better melodies, and play my guitar better. No matter what it is I can’t stop.
