We were lucky to catch up with Jacinda and David recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jacinda and David, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?

We created this business from love- love for charcuterie, being in nature, and love for each other. We want couples, friends, and anyone interested in our service to get away from the grind and madness life can throw at you, taking some time to be present and be peaceful. In our relationship, nothing has been more important than taking the time to enjoy intimate experiences that create lasting memories, and we want to pass that on to others who enjoy San Diego as much as we do!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

We are David and Jacinda: vibrant, nature loving entrepreneurs who live to travel and explore everything under the sun. After having an incredible picnic date at a beautiful park, and giving some very impassioned reviews to everyone we know, we realized our next mission was clear- to create the most incredible Luxury Picnic experience imaginable by melding quality, luxury and comfort. Influenced by our travels and connection to nature and spirituality, we are so excited to bring you an experience unlike any you’ve ever had. We have multiple packages, including seasonal exclusives and candle-lit romantic experiences. We will curate events specific to what you want and need, and the more detailed you are, the more excited we are to make it happen!
Everyone needs some time to kick back, be present, and decompress. Every aspect of our picnics, from the exact location we set up at, to the sage ritual cleansing of both the space and the attendees, is designed to create an environment of relaxation and good vibrations. We truly believe nothing is more important in life and in relationships than to take time to actively enjoy life!

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Of course, social media has been huge, but something that has been a huge blessing to us has been the support of the BIPOC community; being a partially minority owned business is a very crucial part of what we believe makes us special, and the culture has stepped up for us in a huge way! Word of mouth has done wonders and we look forward to meeting even more beautiful and diverse people as we continue to grow.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

Curating event spaces and packages really allows Jacinda, the designer and stylist, to showcase her skills as a creative. No two Picnic Nirvana experiences are exactly the same, as location, time of day, and weather all play a part in the set up. Going shopping and finding new ways to grow our art and creativity is an incredible aspect of the job we don’t take for granted!
