We recently connected with Jabari Osaze and have shared our conversation below.
Jabari, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
I started on the creative journey after I decided I did not want to pursue my career choice as a Mechanical Engineer my junior year at Tennessee State University. I used to have the strongest love for math until I started my college courses and I wasn’t keeping up like I used to. My junior year at TSU I decided to take some film courses because I always had a love for tv shows and movies and decided to change my major to Film & Television and pursue a career as a Director of Film.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
I am Jabari Osaze a 26 year old creative from Chicago, IL. I provided music video, photography, and short form content services for different artists, brands, and businesses. What sets me apart from others is kind a hard honestly I don’t know I feel like everybody has something unique about them my uniqueness will probably be my vision being able to hear a song, see it vividly and put a whole story together that’s probably what sets me apart.
Right now I am most proud of myself for not stopping it’s been a lot of times I would rather just be like all right I quit but I haven’t so I’m really proud of my persistence and my perseverance.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think what helped me build my reputation in my field was that I am willing to work with anyone no matter the situation at hand. I really try to stay away from run & gun projects because I feel they are easily replicated vs a storyboarded project. Lastly I’m genuine and will always put my best work behind my clientele.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My end goal is not only to leave a mark in my industry but I want to make being a creative just as big of a deal as being a mainstream artist. I feel we creatives do a lot of work behind the celebrities but rarely get any of the recognition of our hard work.
