J , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project I’ve worked on is my current project; Digital Retail Fashion Weekend’22. It is a passion project I began in the year 2017 once I discovered the need for positive self-image within the fashion industry and on social platforms. We are consciously building a platform that supports body-positivity, positive self-image, and confident mindset within the fashion sector. It is our goal to represent fashion in a way that empowers and attracts beautiful experiences in the lives of others.

I am J Valentyn born and raised in Miami FL. My passion for art has ultimately landed me in Fashion Production, where I get to stretch my creativity across multiple channels.
From creating concepts, scenes, vibes, visuals, and presentations, my company Wear To Stare Media does it all.
“I didn’t choose this lane, it chose me”. I went from marketing student, to design student, to blogger, to fashion producer.
I moved around within relevant roles I loved until I found my fit, which was to create my own lane within fashion production.
Fast-forward to today, I am producing Digital Retail Fashion Weekend’22 showcasing fashion brands you may know and love.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
For sure! My creative journey through fashion is all about helping people feel good about themselves. While studying fashion and attending industry shows and events, it all felt so vain and one-dimensional to me. As I started stretching within the industry, I noticed more about what was missing from the fashion experience; and that was relatability to the average customer. Through my production, it is my goal to highlight the beauty of the everyday customer who shops at Department Stores like Nordstrom, Macy’s, or TJ Maxx. That is the audience that drives my creative journey to build an inclusive platform for positive self-image within an underserved market of fashion.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
Seeing my work inspire others is the most rewarding aspect of being a creative. In my opinion, it reinforces just how big the bigger picture really is. Because I chose to follow my dreams despite the growing pains of adversity, someone is able to believe in their journey a little more. No one sees the amount of work I or any entrepreneur put in behind the scenes. For that reason, it speaks volumes for someone to evoke a feeling of inspiration, ultimately derived from obstacles you’ve triumphed privately.
