Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to J. Dabney. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
J., thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
The biggest risk I’ve taken would have to be truly believing that the difference I make in this world matters.
“We live in a world full of distractions, we’re all awkwardly moving just to get reactions.
…So the biggest risk would be leaning into my passions….” (Me)
I lean on my family, friends, colleagues for direction. However, first & foremost, I stay patient and wait for my higher to give me direction.
“The hard times should be lessons. Learning from your pitfalls…That’s where you find the blessings” (Me)
J., love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Greetings!
I’m Jay!
I suppose I have many different businesses & wear many different hats.
The reason for this interview may be related to my love of sneakers and clothes. I customize them…That’s my happy place
Nowadays…I solely do that to show my children that they can do anything they put their mind to.
Business is fun. Work is fun. BUT FAMILY IS EVERYTHING.
And family, to me, can be by blood relation OR true friends that saw you at your worse and stayed…
We’d love to hear your thoughts on NFTs. (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I love any opportunity for a person to get money and possibly put their family in a better situation…
Just be safe & lean on whoever you need to for guidance
Maybe their perspective can show you things that you don’t see 🤷🏽♂️
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
I could share a story but words can’t express my resilience…
My children, my friends, my family, my colleagues can speak on my resilience
The ones that “know me like they know me” (quote from my pastor) would say this about me:
BIG HEART ❤️
BIG ENERGY 💫
BIG AURA 🕶️
BIG LOVE 🥰
BIG DREAMSSSSSSS ☁️☁️☁️
And Shoutout My Barber In Maryville (Mr. Shannon)
He always left me with the scripture “Phillipians 1:6” after every cut
