We were lucky to catch up with J.D. Netto recently and have shared our conversation below.
J.D., thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to start by getting your thoughts on what you are seeing as some the biggest trends emerging in your industry.
As both an artist and entrepreneur, I found that it’s important to not only work on your craft, but to also pay attention to marketing trends. We’re migrating from a digital world of filters and overly edited photos to content that is raw and relatable. The consumption of short video content has been leading the industry toward new ways of connecting with audiences.
J.D., love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’ve always been a creative individual and found my passion for art and business at an early age. Right out of high school, I knew I wanted to live off my art and turned into into a platform to elevate businesses and stories.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
My social media audience is built by the things we share in common. Any product or brand must be given a mission before it can connect with anyone. A coffee is a coffee until you tell a customer why they should consume from the company providing the drink. My audience on social media are readers, artists, and entrepreneurs who understand the value of storytelling. Find the common thread, the subjects that can connect beyond product or income. That’s how a community is built around a mission.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
To see people connect around art and business. Human connection is key to leading people to success.
