We recently connected with Issielle Johnson and have shared our conversation below.

Issielle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?

I knew I wanted to be an artist when I first started to sing as a little girl. Than I started to learn how to play violin, viola and bass. Than I developed an intrest in guitar during my high school years. I fell in love ever since.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am a Songwriter and I write original songs. I post my content on YouTube, Instagram and Tiktok. I personally just kept writing and posting and gained a following. I have two albums and one EP that I am proud of putting out!
I’m proud of my persistence throughout the years and where it led. People have seen the growth musically and I am grateful for that !

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

Buying physical albums, merch, vinyl from artists direct and streaming their music. Even sharing , reposting their content.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

Meeting new people. I met some incredible kind hearted individuals in the music scene and it’s so inspiring to be a better artist and to build connections!
