Alright, Issabelle thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?
Growing up, our family was never wealthy. We had always lived paycheck to paycheck or had to wait for tax returns to do school shopping. We completely understand the struggles of life! After years of working for the working man, my father took the biggest risk. With all the money from his savings, he decided that he had enough. We got our place on North Main Street in Anderson, SC and we haven’t looked back. Currently, we are building our name and trying to help people of our community. As said before, we understand the struggle and would never pressure a customer into thousands of dollars in work. We work FOR the customer.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Growing up, I’ve always been around different styles of cars, from lifted to lowered or bagged. My father has always played a large role in my taking to cars. From car shows/clubs and bass competitions, I’ve always been right by his side. I was holding flashlights, passing wrenches, and banging wheel weights before I could multiply. After 18 years in the tire industry, he wanted something of his own. We started in a one-bay shop in the little ol’ town of Liberty, just doing car audio. We have been truly blessed to have grown into the space we have today and to be able to offer so many more services. From tires and rims to all level mechanics and all accessories(lights, hitches, suspension, lifts, levels). We are a true one-stop shop for the upstate. A huge issue in this industry would be the prices. Car parts or mechanics are NOT cheap. What sets us apart from others is that we offer free inspections and rotations on all vehicles, with no obligation to any work, to keep you up to date on your vehicle and expect future issues. We help lessen the load on our customers by providing no credit check financing, and always focusing on the issues that would prevent safe travel or the customer’s biggest concerns FIRST. Our business stands by the fact that we have the lowest prices in all of our services, and we are proud to be able to offer that to the people.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy is word of mouth, by thousands. Obviously you are going to say the best things about you business, but customers or potential customers, will always tell friends exactly how they feel about you, your business, and the atmosphere you bring. We focus on being completely honest with customers, even if it’s not what they want to hear; never beating around the bush.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
A huge pivot point in our personal experience has been the upscale. From our one bay and small store front to our current location has brought more expenses but also the possibility for growth. While offering more services, we have to effectively work as a team, managing our time and creating great workflow.
