I learn to produce instrumentals at the age of 15, from a childhood friend who taught me. I feel like if I had purchased a studio earlier. I would be further along in my career. The most important thing I learned, was how to play the piano. At this point I feel like school would’ve been the best option to maximize my potential.

My name is Ishjon Hawkins, also known as DJ Rent EM Spoons, and I’m deeply immersed in the music scene of Salt Lake City, Utah. My journey into the realm of music production, DJing, engineering, and radio hosting has been fueled by a passion for creativity and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

My entrance into this multifaceted industry began with a profound love for music. From an early age, I found myself drawn to the rhythms and melodies that filled the airwaves, inspiring me to explore the art of creating music myself. I honed my skills through years of dedication, learning the ins and outs of music production, DJing, and engineering.

Today, I offer a diverse range of services to cater to the needs of both individual artists and corporate clients.
