We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Isha Majors a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Isha thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

My parents taught me to put and always keep God 1st. Let him guide you and walk on faith. I’ve always been a firm believer that God will direct my steps in life. When I began my journey it was God that carried me and continues to carry me through it. Prayer has always been a huge part of my life. My parents taught me to pray before I do anything and talk with God daily. Watching my mother pray faithfully everyday inspires m/reminds me to continue to pray daily. Prayer changes things.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I began school at Southern Regional Technical College in May of 2019. The plan was to attend 1 semester and drop out. However that plan quickly changed as I began to love school and learning about skin care, waxing, and more. I started out as “The Wax Kat” being that waxing was so easy for me but before the semester was over I learned that it was so much you can do under the esthetics license. Learning that made me change the name to Pandoras 007 Boxx! I completed the esthetician program in December 2020. I took part 1 of state boards on December 31, 2020 and part 2 on February 4, 2021 and received my license in April 2021. I paid booth rent in a salon for 8months before I outgrew the space and I got my own building that I was able to decorate from the front to the back and make it my own with the direction from God. Pandora’s Box is where you can find the latest self care services and products!! It consists of facials, full body waxing, yoni steaming and more!!
I help my clients elevate their natural beauty by providing them with professional, attentive, and friendly service in a relaxing, clean and safe environment!
Whether you are frustrated with breakouts, hyperpigmentation, age related skin issues, or hair in all the wrong places, educating clients about how to achieve healthy, glowing skin and seeing their skincare frustrations fade away is one of the most rewarding parts of my business.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?

To be successful in this field you must practice respect, privacy, continued education, and network. Respecting your client’s privacy is MAJOR. Your clients has to trust you and feel comfortable with you. Continued education is a must in order to stay up to date with the latest self care services. Networking is a major part of succeeding. Networking can open doors, teach you and help you.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Word of mouth has helped build my reputation. Good or bad, people will talk. Social Media has helped build it too. Social Media allows me to display my work suck as before/after services, current specials, new services, customer reviews and more. Word of mouth sometimes directs people to my social media.
