We were lucky to catch up with ISE COLD recently and have shared our conversation below.
ISE, appreciate you joining us today. Have you been able to earn a full-time living from your creative work? If so, can you walk us through your journey and how you made it happen? Was it like that from day one? If not, what were some of the major steps and milestones and do you think you could have sped up the process somehow knowing what you know now?
Earning a full time living in my field is an every day hustle. I earn a living from what I do by word of mouth & advertising.
Every month, week and day is different when it comes to earnings. I can make a lot one week and I can have a really slow week following a successful one.
In the beginning, I struggled. I picked up a lot of side hustles. I still do today. I’m constantly busy. I’m involved in a lot of projects. In the beginning you have to wear a lot of hats in order to be successful.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My overall goal has been to be a paid actor. I stepped into behind the scenes of film to learn more. I started working with this company called Dang Films. I learned a lot from being a grip and director.
Along the way, I’ve always had love for music. I learned engineering from attending audio schools. One day I just decided to be an artist. Let me tell you, being an artist takes a lot of money. A lot.
So if you plan on quitting your job to start a career in music don’t. Everything is expensive.
Create a plan and stick to that plan 100%
I’m glad I made the decision to be heavily involved in the entertainment industry. If it’s difficult to get in one door just learn how to get in another. Eventually you will get there.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Providing entertainment. People around the world get to see your art on film or listen to it. With all of the craziness going on in the world, I get to help people relax their mind for a bit.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
I want to eventually provide opportunity. Everyone leaves the city of houston for LA or Atlanta to pursue a career in film or music. I want to change that. Houston is full of talented individuals. These creatives just need a space to express their art. I will soon provide that space.
