Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Isabella Love. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Isabella , appreciate you joining us today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
I’ve been singing since I was a little girl but honestly, I never thought that I would want to create a career out of it. I knew it would always be a part of my life just not necessarily professionally. My mother always claimed that I was bopping around on the musical walker when I was a baby. As I got older, I would go music school and continue to sing in church. When I was thirteen, I got the chance to sing on stage with one of my father’s friends at Honky Tonk Central in Nashville, and I loved it. After that, I started to learn to play guitar, but it was not until last year that I got serious about pursuing a career in music. I would continue to sing at small things like family weddings and at rodeos. Since then, I have continued to book gigs and sing as much as I can.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Ever since Isabella was a little girl, she has grown up singing and dancing to country music. She inherited her musical talent from her grandmother and father (although he will not admit it). When she was a baby, her mom remembers her dancing and bopping to country music while she held onto her walker and quotes that “I always knew that she was destined to be in the country music industry.” At the age of six, Isabella attended and performed at the Brockwell Gospel Music School for the first time with her music teacher Mr. Mason. When she was thirteen, she performed with her dad’s friend, Hoss Skelton, at one of the best honky tonks in Nashville, Honky Tonk Central. After this performance, Isabella realized that she wanted a career as a country music singer, so she started to learn to play the guitar. Isabella would go on to perform at Honky Tonk Central several times as well as compete in talent shows for her FFA chapter, sing at a wedding, and perform the National Anthem at her hometown rodeos.
Although country music is a huge passion in Isabella’s life, she also loves agriculture and raising cattle. Isabella was born on a family farm and eventually started to get involved with the family business. At the age of sixteen, her father bought her two Brahman heifers and now she has been raising cattle ever since. She hopes she can continue to raise cattle as she pursues a country music career.
Recently, Isabella Love has been working with Tim Crouch who is an amazing musician as well as producer on her summer single release. The song titled “Summer Spent With You” is the perfect summertime song. Tim captured her vision of “making the song feel like summer” when he produced it. Follow her on all social media platforms to stay informed on any new music releases in the future and please contact her if you have any questions.
Isabella is also super excited to announce her nomination for Modern Country Female Vocalist of the Year for the 9th Annual Josie Music Awards. She will attend the award show in October at the Grand Ole Opry and cannot wait to see what the future holds for her in country music.
How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I think one of the best things that society can do, especially for emerging artists, is to share there social media posts or. That is one thing that is free and only takes a few seconds to do but the outcome of supporting an artist like that can be amazing for them.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is when one of your songs connects with the audience. It is an amazing feeling when you know that people can relate to your song in a personal way and knowing that something you created has helped someone is the greatest gift that an artist can receive. I had that happen to me on my first song, and I was so thankful that I touched that person’s heart.
