Outsiders often think businesses or industries have much larger profit margins than they actually do – the reason is that outsiders are often unaware of the biggest challenges to profitability in various industries – what’s the biggest challenge to profitability in your industry?

One important thing to always remember when starting a business is things will not happen overnight . Hardwork and perseverance pays off . I started my brand as a small website and attended as many Netwerk meetings and events as I could. Don’t be afraid to promote yourself no matter where you are at the grocery store, the dentist, even the mall.

House of Barretti is a Lifestyle brand that caters to the teen / young adult market. You can catch many of young Hollywood”s top stars rocking House of Barretti fashions.
The brand is known for their fun runway shows 4 years strong at New York Fashion Week , Miami Swim Week and Hamptons Fashion Week.
The brand has a full athletic line from bra tops to stretch pants , windbreakers, sweatshirts all with the official logo .
House of Barretti Teen Suit line is what put them on the map ! From 1-3 piece suits with stunning trims and silk lining this line became extremely popular with the teen USA page t community.
Two years ago the brand introduced couture gowns . From prom to pageant these gowns have head to toe bling with a corset style back.
House of Barretti just introduced a street wear collection at NYFW this past September that sold out off the runway . Cute crop top fur coats with bling to one piece body suits the show was a huge hit .

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I have always been an serial entrepreneur. My first business was one of my most successful. The brand was called Glitzy Girl and it was a jewelry line for kids and teens. The brand offered wear your wins accomplishment bracelets for client’s in Gymnastics, Dance , and Cheer where they could buy charms that said the level or award they had won.. The line become widely popular with Dance Competitions and Cheer Convention’s making the company a multi million dollar business and making Isabella Barrett one of the youngest selfmade millionaires in the USA .

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

After my first successful company I made other investments that I thought would be just as successful but they didn’t match up to my first success. At first this was very disheartening but I learned the trial and error of failing and now my clothing line has flourished because of the lessons that I learned.
The overall advice is to never give up and take your failures as learning experiences for your next success.
