We were lucky to catch up with Isaac Tillman recently and have shared our conversation below.
Isaac, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
Yes, I do. I have always had a love for music and writing. I started writing at a young age, around 10. But I never started working on music writing till years later.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Isaac Tillman was in ACT Like A Child Magazine Issue 20 on July 21, 2017, following three more magazine features in 2021. He starred in the 2018 Comedy, Night School as a feature known for the role of poker kid. As of 2023, he hasn’t acted in any new films. However, does publish work under the pen name of I. Tillman, releases music under the stage name of Shamel, and started a podcast called Sometimes I Do Talk.
Overall, Isaac wants to make a positive impact on the entertainment industry in multiple ways. Through writing, singing, and many other creative aspects.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, getting to share and tell my point of view. I don’t believe in putting out this perfect image, I’m not perfect at all. I make mistakes. I go through hardships, heartbreaks, job losses, and just difficulties in life. Social media has sincerely given us such a false aspect of reality and we can become consumed in it, so as an artist, I can share the truth. And that’s what is most rewarding.
What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
My current goal is truly to reach a point where I can share my work to a bigger audience. I am still working on my book, Dying Wish & want this to have such a huge impact on people. The story tells so many things that go on in everyday life. I am also working on my debut EP, which I’m looking forward to releasing later this year. As controversial as this may sound, success is definitely the gas in this vehicle. I want share to the world and being able to do so is what drives me.
