Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Isaac Berry. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Isaac , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
How Instant Car Fix Was Born — The Story, The Emotion, and the Logic Behind the Revolution
Instant Car Fix didn’t begin in a boardroom or from a stack of market research reports. It started with one customer—five years ago—standing outside his vehicle frustrated, overwhelmed, and completely at the mercy of an industry that had become synonymous with inconvenience, markups, and uncertainty.
At that moment, something clicked for us.
We believed there had to be a better way. A simpler way. A more honest and transparent way.
So we took a chance.
We sent a mechanic directly to that customer’s home. No tow truck. No waiting room. No upselling. No games. Just pure service, delivered directly to where he was. He saved money. He saved time. And for the first time, he felt in control of his repair.
He was so impressed that he wrote about his experience in a well-syndicated publication here in the Nation’s Capital. What we didn’t know then was that his story would go viral—and that a single act of customer care would create a movement.
That was the spark.
And once the spark caught fire, we never looked back.
The Logic — Why We Knew This Would Work
We weren’t trying to reinvent cars. We were reinventing the experience.
The logic was undeniable:
Americans waste billions of hours each year on vehicle maintenance—time spent driving to shops, waiting for diagnosis, waiting for repairs, and arranging transportation. We eliminate all of that.
Brick-and-mortar shops carry massive overhead. Customers end up paying for the building, the lights, and the inflated labor rates. Our mobile model removes those unnecessary costs and passes the savings directly to the customer.
Mobile convenience had transformed every industry—food delivery, ride-sharing, e-commerce. Auto repair was the last untouched frontier. We saw the opportunity before most realized it was possible.
And most importantly:
Trust was broken in the car repair industry. We knew transparency, upfront pricing, and service at the customer’s location would rebuild that trust in a way traditional shops couldn’t.
Our idea wasn’t just a business model—it was a solution to a problem consumers had silently tolerated for decades.
The Vision — Solving a Problem No One Else Was Solving
Back then, no one was truly bringing certified technicians, OEM-level equipment, and dealership-quality service directly to driveways, parking lots, office buildings, and fleet locations at scale.
We weren’t just offering convenience; we were restoring dignity to the process.
We made an auto repair:
Transparent
Mobile
Affordable
Technician-friendly
Customer-centered
We bridged the gap between what customers needed and what the industry had failed to deliver for far too long.
What Excited Us Most
It was simple:
We weren’t just fixing cars.
We were fixing an industry.
We were creating a world where a single mother wouldn’t have to sit in a cold waiting room with her children…
Where a working professional wouldn’t have to miss hours of labor sitting in a shop…
Where fleets could save thousands per vehicle simply by eliminating downtime…
Where customers could experience transparency instead of anxiety.
And all of it began with one customer who took a leap of faith—one who shared his story with the world and, unknowingly, helped launch a national revolution.
That was the moment we realized:
Instant Car Fix wasn’t just a company. It was a movement.
A movement born from one customer, driven by thousands, and built to transform how America repairs its vehicles—one driveway, one business, one community at a time.

Isaac , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Introducing Myself & The Origin of My Work
My name is Isaac Berry, and I am the Chief Operations Officer of Instant Car Fix, a company transforming how America experiences auto repair. My journey into this industry did not begin out of convenience—it started out of necessity, passion, and the drive to make a complicated, intimidating process accessible and transparent for everyday people.
I’ve spent over 20 years in the automotive industry, from leading high-volume operations with Monro Inc. / Mr. Tire to designing systems that increase efficiency, transparency, and customer trust. Over the years, I saw a pattern: no matter how advanced vehicles became, the customer experience at traditional repair shops remained outdated, inconvenient, and opaque.
I knew something had to change.
That realization became the foundation for Instant Car Fix.
How I Got Into This Industry
My path in this industry started long before Instant Car Fix. I grew up around mechanics and repair shops, where I learned two important truths:
Cars break down at the worst times.
Customers deserve honesty and convenience, but rarely get it.
As I rose through leadership roles, I saw firsthand the gap between what customers needed and what the traditional model offered. People were losing hours—sometimes days—sitting in waiting rooms, paying high overhead markups, and hoping the diagnosis was accurate. Even good shops struggled to give customers clarity because the system itself was outdated.
I knew the future of automotive would eventually mirror the evolution of food delivery, ride-sharing, and mobile health: on-demand, on-site, transparent, and customer-first.
The question was: Who would build it?
What Instant Car Fix Provides

Fleet maintenance programs
OEM vs. aftermarket part options
Transparent, upfront pricing
Photo and video verification for accountability

The Problems We Solve
1. Convenience
People no longer have to rearrange their lives around a car repair. We come to them.
2. Cost Transparency
Our pricing model eliminates shop overhead, passing the savings to customers.
3. Trust & Accountability
We document every mile, VIN, plate, and repair step.
Customers see everything before, during, and after service.
4. Fleet Downtime
For companies, downtime means lost money.
We fix vehicles on-site, keeping fleets rolling and expenses predictable.
5. Mechanic Empowerment
Technicians earn more, work safer, and maintain control over their schedules—solving a long-standing industry problem of underpaid mechanics.
What Sets Us Apart
There are mobile mechanics.
And then there is Instant Car Fix—a fully operational, tech-driven, nationwide system designed to scale with precision.
What truly differentiates us is:
A legitimacy-focused approach (photos, documentation, strict verification)
Our Terms & Conditions protect both the customer and the mechanic
Our rapid responsiveness
True national reach
Our leadership experience in both traditional and mobile automotive environments
Our commitment to transparency at every stage
Our ability to solve complex repairs on-site that others cannot
Most competitors simply “send a mechanic.”

What I Am Most Proud Of
Three things:
1. Impacting Lives
We’ve helped single parents who couldn’t afford a tow…
Workers who couldn’t miss a shift…
Fleet managers who saved thousands per vehicle…
And mechanics who finally found financial stability.
2. Changing an Industry
We aren’t renting bays, opening shops, or repeating the past.
We are leading a nationwide shift toward mobile-first automotive care.
3. Staying True to Our Values
Even as we grew, we kept our core promise:
transparency
convenience
fairness
integrity
professional accountability
Those values guide every repair and every customer relationship.
What I Want People to Know About Our Brand
Instant Car Fix exists because we believe auto repair should be simple, honest, and accessible.
We want people to know:
We are a customer-first organization.
We don’t hide behind jargon or inflated shop overhead.
We stand behind our work with professionalism and transparency.
We are built on real industry experience—not hype or trend.
We are here to revolutionize how America experiences car repair.
We want customers to feel empowered.
We want mechanics to feel respected.
And we want fleets to see us as a long-term operating solution.
Instant Car Fix isn’t just a company—it’s an evolution in how vehicle care should be done
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What Helped Us Build Our Reputation in the Market
Our reputation didn’t come from luck or a clever marketing slogan. It was built through consistency, transparency, and a genuine commitment to reshaping an industry that desperately needed reform.
1. We Built Trust Through Transparency
From day one, we made transparency our foundation. In an industry where customers often feel uncertain or taken advantage of, we introduced:
Upfront, itemized, honest pricing
photos and verification of VIN, mileage, and plates
real-time documentation of the repair process
Clear Terms & Conditions that protect everyone
Customers could see the integrity behind our work. That transparency earned trust—trust turned into loyalty, and loyalty turned into reputation.
2. We Delivered Convenience No One Else Was Offering at Scale
We weren’t just fixing cars—we were fixing the customer experience.
By bringing certified mobile mechanics directly to driveways, workplaces, and fleet yards, we eliminated the most significant pain points in auto repair:
towing
waiting rooms
time off work
unexpected price changes
Convenience created word-of-mouth momentum, and momentum built recognition.
3. We Treated Customers Like People, Not Tickets
Every customer interaction, whether a $90 diagnosis or a $1,500 repair, received the same respect and professionalism.
Customers remembered that.
They talked about it.
They shared their experiences in articles, reviews, and social media posts.
That one early customer who wrote about us in a syndicated DC publication began a ripple effect. We doubled down on those values, and the market took notice.
4. We Held Ourselves to a Higher Standard Than Traditional Shops
Our internal standards—mechanic verification, required photo evidence, accountability checks—set us apart. These systems weren’t designed to benefit just Instant Car Fix; they were intended to protect the customer experience.
That meticulous approach signaled to customers, fleets, and vendors that we weren’t just another mobile mechanic company—we were building a new industry standard.
5. Consistent Professionalism From Leadership to the Field
Reputation starts at the top.
Your leadership as COO—structured, professional, legally compliant, and deeply operational—created an internal culture where:
Mechanics were supported and empowered.
Complaints were handled with legal precision.
Fleet partnerships received executive-level attention.
Every message, call, and email reflected brand integrity.
People saw that professionalism and began to regard Instant Car Fix not as a “gig platform,” but as a legitimate, national automotive service company with executive leadership and infrastructure.
6. We Solved Real Problems for Real People
A reputation grows when your solution works—and ours does.
Customers saved time, money, and stress. Fleets cut costs and downtime. Mechanics earned fairly and safely.
When a product consistently solves real problems, the market builds your reputation for you.
7. Word-of-Mouth Became Our Biggest Marketing Asset
Our reputation grew because customers talked about us—passionately.
viral articles
community referrals
repeat business
families recommending us to families
fleets recommending us to other fleets
Positive experiences became public endorsements.
In Summary: What Built Our Reputation?
Integrity, transparency, professionalism, and a relentless commitment to putting the customer first.
We didn’t build a reputation by being perfect—we built it by showing up, being honest, and delivering real value every time.
That consistency earned respect.
Respect built trust.
And trust built a reputation strong enough to reshape an entire industry.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
A Story of Resilience — The Night That Defined My Leadership
There’s one moment in my journey that I believe truly illustrates my resilience — a moment that tested me not just as a business leader, but as a person who refuses to quit when everything is on the line.
Several years into building Instant Car Fix, we hit a period where everything seemed to implode at once. Mechanics were overbooked, customer complaints were piling up faster than resolution times allowed, and one major fleet partner — a contract that accounted for a significant portion of our revenue — suddenly paused all services due to an internal restructuring on their end.
It felt like the entire foundation we had built over the years was shaking under us.
And then came the breaking point.
The Call That Changed Everything
One evening, around 10:30 p.m., I received a call from a customer whose repair had gone sideways due to a mechanic’s violation of our Terms & Conditions. The situation could have severely damaged our reputation, mainly because the customer was preparing to escalate the issue publicly.
At that moment, I had two choices:
React emotionally and blame the mechanic.
Or take full ownership, protect the customer, protect the brand, and rebuild trust.
I chose the latter.
I drove out personally that night.
Not as a COO…
Not as an executive…
But as a servant leader, I refused to let one customer slip through the cracks.
When I arrived, the customer was frustrated, exhausted, and ready to give up on the entire industry — not just us. Instead of defending ourselves, I listened. I walked the customer through every detail, every step, every part number, and every failsafe in our process.
Then I documented the case myself, took the photos myself, and called the mechanic directly to conduct an immediate internal review at midnight.
That night, I didn’t sleep.
But that night, Instant Car Fix didn’t lose a customer.
In fact, we gained an advocate.
The customer later told me:
“I’ve never seen a company show up the way you showed up tonight. This tells me everything I need to know about your leadership.”
That incident became a turning point.
What That Night Taught Me
1. Leadership doesn’t clock out.
I learned that true resilience isn’t displayed during easy times — it’s forged when you’re tired, overwhelmed, and still decide to push forward.
2. Protecting your brand means protecting people.
Customers don’t remember slogans. They remember how you treated them when something went wrong.
3. Resilience becomes your reputation.
Our company grew stronger after that moment because we transformed a potential crisis into a story of integrity, accountability, and care.
4. Every setback is an opportunity to build trust.
That situation could have hurt us. Instead, it became one of our greatest brand-building moments.
Why I Share This Story
This wasn’t a glamorous moment. There were no cameras, no applause, no spotlight.
It was just me, a customer in distress, and a company fighting to uphold its values.
But it’s the night that solidified my resilience — and the resilience of Instant Car Fix as a whole.
We don’t run from problems.
We face them.
We solve them.
We come out stronger every single time.
