Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Irwin Britton. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Irwin , thanks for joining us today. Was there an experience or lesson you learned at a previous job that’s benefited your career afterwards?
I worked for a company and me and my boss had a great relationship but it took for me to have a death in the family to understand and see that our relationship wasn’t in fact close or great and it taught me that no matter how close or friendly you are with someone NEVER GET too comfortable. Seasons change People Change!

Irwin , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m Irwin Britton (30). I moved to Atlanta in 2015 and has been thriving since. I moved here originally from Louisville Kentucky to pursue music as I write and produce RNB Pop music. Music was never my thing as far as being instrumental with it. I was more of a auto guy but in 2009 me and a cousin decided we were going to challenge each-other to write a song and I haven’t stopped since that day. In 2016 I purchased my first set of studio equipment and the journey began. As of now I have over 400 demos written and recorded by me. Being that I’m not as social sometimes holds me back from bumping into the right person or should I say ‘The Who’s Who’s’ of Atlanta. Musically I feel I’m different. My sound is different my perspective is different and I don’t sound quite like the rest which to me is a blessing because so many GREAT talents are out here doing their thing but sound just like the one before them. So having my own musical identity is always good and a blessing. In the next year I plan to release my first EP and just see how the world takes me as I’ve been working on myself and getting more concepts and stories to tell musically.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I feel society could be more opened minded. It doesn’t have to sound a certain way or It doesn’t have to look a certain way. Music is a healer and something that can move people in many of ways so let it do just that. Let the music speak for itself. But I feel society is so stuck on the mainstream popular artist that other great talents don’t really get the recognition they deserve. Let’s be more open to new and upcoming GREAT artist and writers.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I feel the most rewarding part of this journey is it’s MY JOURNEY and when it come time for this to be my full time money maker it’ll put me in control of what it is I desire from that point on. But to be able to create something that may change his or her life or simple make them groove and move is the most rewarding.
