We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Irene Weinberg a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Irene thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
I had a profound spiritual awakening when my husband Saul died next to me in a tragic car accident. (I received 3 profound messages before, during, and just after the accident.) As I opened to the spiritual world and connected with my husband through mediums, I was told that I was part of a Divine Plan along with my husband, who was on the Other Side. I was guided to channel my first 5 star rated book, titled They Serve Bagels in Heaven: One couple’s story of love, eternity, and the cosmic importance of everyday life. A few years later, the word “Podcast” came into my mind, and I knew this was the next step for my part of the Divine Plan. I decided to interview grief and trauma specialists, mediums, healers, and people who have experienced tremendous life challenges, healed, and transformed their lives. Grief and Rebirth Podcast: Finding the joy in life is now in the top 2% of 3M podcasts, streaming in over 80 countries, and the winner of an international award. It is helping many people! The podcast was followed by my 2nd book titled Good to the Last Drop! Embracing Your Life’s Third Chapter, and I am now about to Lauch my exciting new Grief and Rebirth You Tube channel.
Irene, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Irene Weinberg has been healing most of her life. Psychotherapy helped her to heal from her dysfunctional childhood plus her work with both a life transition coach and an energy healer were instrumental in helping her to cope with her intense grief and move forward after her beloved husband died next to her in a tragic car accident. Irene’s grounded, healing wisdom is coupled with a deep knowledge of spirituality that emanates from the profound spiritual awakening she experienced during the car accident in addition to the wisdom gleaned from her many podcast interviews with grief and trauma specialists, mediums, healers and people who have wonderful stories of transformation and rebirth to share. Irene, who is passionate about healing, has been referred to as a “healer of hearts.”
Irene Weinberg is a public speaker, author, and host of the popular podcast Grief and Rebirth: Finding the Joy in Life. Two months before, during and just after her husband died next to her in a tragic car accident, Irene received profound messages that led to a spiritual awakening and her book They Serve Bagels in Heaven. Having learned to pay attention when seemingly “out of the blue” messages dropped into her head, one day Irene suddenly heard the word “podcast” and so began the next part of her soul purpose. The mission of Grief and Rebirth: Finding the Joy in Life Podcast, which is touching and helping people all over the world, is to educate, enlighten, and provide healing choices through interviews with grief and trauma specialists, healers, mediums, and people who have inspiring stories of healing, transformation, and rebirth to share. You can find the Grief and Rebirth Podcast with its inspiring and uplifting interviews on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, my podcast page, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
Both the book and the podcast persuade people to see how each life matters, encouraging healing that contributes to fully engaged living with love and kindness at its core.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I was abandoned by my entire family for 23 years. I chose to enter therapy to understand the dysfunction in my family and be able to move on in my life without them, and without rancor. When i married my 2nd husband Saul, we got complete custody of his two teenaged children, and I had custody of my 3-year-old son. Back i went to therapy, to learn how to help all the players in our family drama not only survive but thrive. When my husband died next to me in the tragic car accident, I continued my healing journey, and I am now at peace with my family and within myself.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The goal of my creative endeavors is to educate, enlighten and to provide healing choices for those experiencing trauma and grief. The books I have written, my podcast, and my You Tube channel are making tremendous healing contributions to people’s lives. I am also part of an important documentary titled What Every Soul Knows, which will premiere in NJ in January 2025.
