Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Irene Rose. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Irene thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. How did you find your key vendor or vendors? Maybe you can share the backstory and share some context and the relevant details to help us understand why you chose them, why they chose you, etc.
My lash supplier found me and sent me some samples, it took me more than a year to try/test then i decided to made a supplier and started selling their product by this year. For my permanent jewelry supplier, most of them i found from the class that i got certified last year which are trusted supplier and some of them i found through FB’s group and the permanent jewelry expo that I attended this year
Irene, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I got certified on my first lash training on 2019, i worked in a couple salons for 2 years building my clientele and improving my skills. I started my own lash business on 2020 right on pandemic and within a year i became an esthetician licensed. At the same time i keep upgrading the knowledge about lash industry while working on my lash product line. Now I am a 6 times certified lash artist and a small business owner. Last year i watched some stories through Instagram about permanent jewelry and it really caught my attention, the same feeling when i watched lash extensions through the Youtube. I can’t stop thinking about the permanent jewelry until I decided to take the online class and got certified on November 2022. I got so busy with the lash extensions on the holiday season by then end of the year of 2022 and went to visit my family in Indonesia right on the new year 2023, so I finally can start offering the permanent jewelry service on March 2023. So far it’s going good, I’ve done some pop up events that were successful and i really enjoyed it.
It’s the best feeling to share the experienced with the clients and to witness their happiness after get the lashes or permanent jewelry done.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
With the permanent jewelry from only offering in the studio i decided to start do pop up events since the permanent jewelry kind of a new trend that not a lot of people knows about it. The pop up really help to bring awareness about the permanent jewelry as my second service.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
I would like to say word of the mouth are the best strategy that it has to come with the best customer service and good quality or your product. Your reputation is everything. I always do my best try to accommodate every client to meet their expectations in lashes and permanent jewelry. Secondly, Google business are the best marketing as a small business owner. I realize no matter how old you are you always googled to find something. And it works for my business cause a lot of my clients found me through Google, and every time i asked why they chose me and they always answered because of my review and the photos of my work.
I always appreciate for the clients who left an honest review and support my business.
