We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ira Ingber. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ira below.
Hi Ira, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I was mentored by my brother. If I had professional music lessons, and learned to read music early on things would have progressed more quickly.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I was in my early teens when I started to play gigs, write songs, and because I grew up in Hollywood, I was surrounded by a number of like-minded kids. Now, years later, I wear many musical “hats” on a daily basis. Besides being a guitarist and singer, I produce, compose, master, but above all, I’m a “dream facilitator.” I often find myself in collaboration with other artists who find my talents and skill sets complimentary with theirs, as they pursue their artistic endeavors.

Have you ever had to pivot?
After over a decade of touring and recording as a studio musician for others, I realized that I needed/wanted to do the same for myself. Building a home studio, and and seeing myself as not only a musician but as a producer as well, changed my career trajectory from being re-active to active.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
Being a free-lance creative, out of necessity one needs to foster self-reliance, successful networking strategies, and endless reserves of energy.
