Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Inspirit Community. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Inspirit , thanks for joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
When people think of yoga, they often think of a quiet, perfectly contained, yoga studio with incense wafting through the air and soft music playing. It’s easier to escape from the real world when you are placed in a curated space. But when you leave, you are thrown back into the real world, one that is not controlled.
While we appreciate these spaces, it’s important to realize that you do not need a studio to practice yoga.
In fact, if you are able to practice outside of the walls of a studio and in your real life (your home, relationships, where you travel) – that’s where the real magic of yoga happens. It is integrated into your everyday life!
You realize that the practice is wherever you are.
Also, the industry standard of Westernized yoga is very asana (pose) physically focused. We are working to honor all roots of yoga which are meditation, breathwork, philosophy, self-study, and daily rituals.
We’re sold the Instagram post portrayal of yoga. It is presented as being pretty and perfectly peaceful. Often, a true practice can be all the things – messy, honest, respectful, showing not only the light but the dark as well.
We want to move beyond this facade to get to the depth that is possible. The depth that makes us human. We aim to create a community where people can show up fully.
Inspirit , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We are a collective run by three women with diverse backgrounds all sharing the common goal of enhancing the well-being of (y)our world. With our experience in the yoga industry for many years, we saw the need for a more integrated way to practice.
Which leads to Inspirit! We’ve created a virtual yoga community offering 25+ yoga classes a month. People can pick and choose their own intentional weekly schedule or watch recordings at their convenience. The space is also open to monthly guest guides who can share their magic with our community.
The variety of options within the community offers practices that are not “one-size-fits-all.” If you have 5 minutes, we have something for you to feel more connected. If you can’t join us live, you can watch the recording at your convenience.
We have spaces where you can ask questions, share stories, and gather to nurture human interaction, community, and the conversations you crave. We love deep dives that allow for self-discovery within a safe space.
To foster accessibility, we offer tiered pricing at $22, $33, or $44 per month for full access to Inspirit.
We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Our blog/ newsletter shares musings to inspire daily life and foster creativity and connection.
Common Ground, our podcast, is a space where we discuss yoga philosophies, ancient traditions and explore how they apply to our lives today. We share our experiences in real-life, unedited conversations. Common Ground aims to nurture human interaction and spark the curiosity of self-discovery.
The Inspirit Instagram offers snippets from classes, teacher happenings, and community outings.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
As three collective business owners, we are constantly unlearning that you must do everything by ourselves, actively dismantling the idea that a successful business requires a top-down leadership style.
With a variety of experiences amongst us, we are learning the power of collective thinking. A magic happens when three brains work together to find solutions that may not necessarily have been found individually.
There is a uniqueness that we each bring to strengthen the collective. It feels like collaboration instead of competition. There is no “boss” or “HR” so we hold each other accountable with respect and patience.
