Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Influence Getem. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Influence thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
A lack of sleep helped me, but I would advise anyone on the persuit of success to do their best to keep a small tight circle. In my experiences, thus far, most people tend to fall into the untrustworthy category. Opportunists flood societal ventures, and look to benefit wherever they can from the hard work of others. I’ve regretted helping others more than I would’ve hoped. It’s best to learn everything needed, and do things yourself with very little to no assistance from anyone. The bigger you grow in buisiness is the more likely you’ll face potential sabotage attempts that’ll likely derive from those closest to you. Most entrepreneurs will look to vastly network with any and all parties available, but that’s not wise, since you’ll attract more leaches, rather than anything of substance.

Influence, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My first love was art. I based everything around the arts, from drawing to music. I started working on it all at age 11 more intricately, but began at an earlier age with being artistic. Music paved a way for me to craft my fashion designs, as well as find my way in to acting. Over 23 years and counting, I’ve been branding myself in various ways, from music video cameos to song features, acting roles, fashion design, and radio, as well creating music videos for mybown projects with the help of videographers. I’ve worked with several iconic and legendary figures in both the music and film industries.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I began building an audience before MySpace was developed, and later utilized it, as well as all platforms that were available at them times to build an organic network of supporters who are still around. I found success by promoting myself properly without spamming people’s personal spaces such as inboxes, and comment sections, etc. Being seen is the mission, being annoying isn’t. You won’t sell a thing if you’re aggressive and forceful. You’ll turn consumers off before you’ve even had a chance to turn them on. (This advice is for small businesses owners)

We’d really appreciate if you could talk to us about how you figured out the manufacturing process.
I design all of my products, and has third parties manufacture the goods. It was imperative that I reach a global market, and couldn’t achieve that by pedaling locally. I also rely on small print companies to assist consistently or provide quality and efficient work.
