We were lucky to catch up with Infinity Brooks recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Infinity, thanks for joining us today. Do you have a hero? What have you learned from them?
My hero is my mom, Sonya. She’s the definition of grace under pressure—a true force to be reckoned with. Despite life throwing more than its fair share of obstacles her way, she’s always remained grounded in her faith and purpose. She puts God first in everything, and somehow, she always finds a way to come out on top. What makes her my hero isn’t just the way she’s carried herself through life’s storms, but the way she’s always made sure her children never felt the weight of those storms.
She has taught me the kind of strength that doesn’t just push through—it uplifts. She showed me that being authentically yourself is the only way to truly thrive. That it’s okay to be soft and strong at the same time, to pray and still hustle, to give without expecting anything in return. She made it clear through her actions that showing up, even when it’s hard, is one of the most powerful things you can do for the people you love.
She’s the reason I strive to live boldly and give generously—because that’s who she is. Even though she worked a 9 to 5, built multiple businesses from the ground up, and carried the weight of a household where her partner was rarely present, she never let us feel like we were missing out on anything. She was married, but still had to play both mom and dad to three kids—and she did it with joy, creativity, and an unmatched kind of love.
A memory that has stayed with me forever is how a random Thursday turned into one of the best weekends of our childhood. We were living in the Bay Area at the time, and my mom picked up my siblings and me from school like it was just another regular day. She asked us the usual questions she always did: “How was school? What did you learn? What didn’t you like about today?” We answered like we always did, completely unaware of what was coming next.
But then… she missed the turn for home.
My little sister Khyler was the first to catch it. “Where are we going? You missed the turn!” she asked. My mom just smiled—a huge grin—but didn’t say a word. I chimed in, “Mom, Khy asked where we’re going? Are we going to the grocery store? Oh! Can you make lasagna tonight?” Still, nothing. Just a chuckle.
We were getting suspicious, especially once she got on the freeway. A few miles in, she stopped at a gas station and came back to the car with bags full of snacks. I said, “Mom, seriously—where are we going and why do you have all these snacks?”
That’s when she finally let us in on the secret. “Okay,” she said, “I have a surprise. I’m taking you guys somewhere. It’s a little far, but I promise it’ll be worth it. So no more questions—just sit back, enjoy the ride, and let’s have some fun.”
My siblings couldn’t stop asking questions the whole way down, but me? I just sat back, smiled, and let the adventure unfold.
Six hours later, we pulled up to a hotel in Los Angeles. She checked us in and told us the big surprise: “For the entire weekend, we’re going to Universal Studios.”
We screamed. We jumped. We tackled her with excitement. It was one of those moments that made us feel like the luckiest kids in the world. And the truth is—my mom would do things like that all the time. As a kid, I just thought, Wow, she’s so cool, she’s such a great mom. None of my friend’s parents did that, but now, as an adult, I see the deeper meaning. She was making up for a home life where my stepdad was barely present. She didn’t want us to feel like we were missing out on joy, love, or experiences just because he wasn’t active in our lives.
And I can honestly say—because of her, we never did.
My mom’s influence is in every part of who I am. She showed me how to lead with love, how to move with intention, give it all to God and how to live life fully even when things aren’t perfect. She’s inspired me to be a strong woman, a giver, a go-getter, and most importantly—someone who makes others feel seen and cared for. If I can be even half the woman she is, then I know I’m on the right path.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Infinity, the heart behind Infinite Designs Wedding and Event Planning—a business built on passion, creativity, and the belief that every moment deserves to be unforgettable. I’ve always loved planning events, from baby showers to weddings to large-scale festivals, but it wasn’t until I started coordinating for friends and family that I realized this was more than just a hobby—it was a calling.
Infinite Designs was born out of a desire to help people celebrate life’s most special moments with intention and style, without the stress. What began as a side hustle quickly evolved into a full-service wedding and event planning company, and since then, I’ve had the honor of helping clients bring their visions to life in ways that reflect who they truly are.
At Infinite Designs, we offer full-service wedding and event planning, coordination, and design. Whether you need help from the very beginning or just someone to bring it all together on the big day, we tailor each experience to your unique needs. We also specialize in creating Styled Shoots and Content Retreats, The Styled Collective by Infinite Designs gives creatives a space to collaborate, build their portfolios, and connect with new clients.

Our mission is simple: to create experiences that are unforgettable, authentic, and filled with love.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Absolutely. One moment that truly stands out in my journey as a business owner happened early on, when I was just starting to build Infinite Designs. I was working a full-time job, managing personal responsibilities, and simultaneously planning my very first large-scale event. On the outside, everything looked like it was moving forward, but behind the scenes, I was struggling—mentally, emotionally, and financially. I was pouring so much of myself into making sure the event was perfect, even though I was barely sleeping and operating off of sheer determination.
To make matters more challenging, one of my key vendors pulled out at the last minute—something completely out of my control. I remember sitting in my car after getting the news and crying, I felt like a failure. This event couldn’t happen without that key vendor. So what did I do? I called my mom she told me to take a deep breath, and said “You’re built for this. You’ll figure it out, Pudd. You always do.” That’s her nickname for me
And that’s exactly what I did. I started making calls, tapping into my network, and problem-solving on the fly. Within hours, I had a new vendor locked in, and the event went on without a hitch. No one in attendance ever knew there had been an issue—and that moment solidified my ability to remember to stay calm under pressure and deliver no matter what.
That experience reminded me that resilience isn’t just about surviving hard moments—it’s about how you respond to them. It’s choosing not to fold when things fall apart. As the late great Nipsey Hustle used to say. “It’s not on you, it’s in you!” It’s about trusting your skills, your purpose, and your why.
For me, Infinite Designs is more than a business—it’s a reflection of my ability to rise through adversity, to create beauty out of chaos, and to never give up on what I know I’m meant to do. Every event I plan, every styled shoot I host, is a testament to the strength that got me here.
Have you ever had to pivot?
One of the biggest pivots I’ve ever had to make was during a time when both my personal life and career felt like they were falling apart. During and after COVID, I went through a really rough few years. Like so many others, I was struggling mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I was pouring into everyone and everything but had very little left for myself. On the outside, I was functioning. But on the inside, I was drowning. It got to a point where I knew—if I didn’t make a change, I wouldn’t be here much longer. That’s how heavy it felt.
That’s when I realized I needed to shift everything. I couldn’t keep living for survival. I needed to create a life that brought me joy, peace, and purpose. So I took a leap of faith and leaned into the one thing that had always brought me happiness: creating experiences for others. That’s when Infinite Designs truly started to take form.
What started as a creative outlet and passion project quickly turned into a business—and more importantly, a lifeline. Through planning weddings, events, styled shoots, and content retreats, I began healing myself by helping others celebrate. I found my rhythm again. I reconnected with the parts of me that felt buried under stress and sadness. I stopped just existing and started living—and building something beautiful in the process.
That pivot saved my life. Infinite Designs was born out of pain, but it grew out of purpose. It taught me that sometimes the biggest blessings come from the hardest moments. And now, every time I watch a couple light up on their wedding day or a creative find new confidence through one of my events, I’m reminded of why I kept going.
