We recently connected with Infanint James and have shared our conversation below.
Infanint, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
Th4nks For Nothing started back in 2012-2013. The name was created between Casey Washington (the logo designer) and me. The concept here was as simple as it reads, thanks for nothing. It represents all the lack of help we received when creating this brand. It says ‘thanks, we did it ourselves and you can too!’ At the time we were fashion focused, creating for self with no intents on helping others. The irony in this narrative is that the company now spends majority of our time helping other companies with their goals. Our slogan is “Everyone Needs A hand” which represents us giving a helping hand to create original content for those brands in need.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Names Infanint, I am creative director from Brooklyn NY. My artistic journey started with styling and fashion. Eventually I wanted to capture myself and my pairs outfits in higher resolutions, so I eventually picked up a Canon camera and focused on photography. After which, I stumbled unto beauty photo retouching, then graphic design. During the pandemic of 2020, I picked up 3D graphic design and animation along with 3D printing.
Th4nks For Nothing provides 3D animations, modeling & printing services and we create merch sparingly. We’re entrusted to solve creative content dilemmas. We use brands identities to create captivating motion content for their socials and websites. We use mostly 3D programs as our creative weapon of choice and with our native stylistic edge, we create content that both stands out and resonates with their brands natural audience.
An accomplishment we are very proud of is having our 3D animation work appearing of Hypebeast magazine online and having a hand on curating last years “Rock the Bells” for Art Basel on Miami’s Sea Fair Yacht. I smaller goal we were happy to hit, was landing a brick-and-mortar placement for our 3D printed ashtrays in SoHo NY.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I believe we all had to take time out during the year of 2020. I went from mostly being a photographer to being a full-blown graphic designer and side 3D printer. I went from being a photography business owner, to now creating a remote 3D content creative company. Going from in person photo shoots to working behind a computer remote, calling the shots from my pajamas was a huge shift in my career. I told myself I’d never go back, but since things are opening again, I figure I can now do both!

Can you talk to us about how you funded your business?
2020 was not all chaos and misery. The government’s business loans/grants were a great kick start to fund the grounds of the company. Th4nks For Nothing was thought of in 2012-2013, but it did not come into fruition until 2020, when me and my two other partners (Zumar Ebron and Malachi Williams) came together to purchase tools, computers and programs for the company. This gave Thanks For Nothing the head start it needed financially.
