Hi Ineka, thanks for joining us today. One of the toughest things about entrepreneurship is that there is almost always unexpected problems that come up – problems that you often can’t read about in advance, can’t prepare for, etc. Have you had such and experience and if so, can you tell us the story of one of those unexpected problems you’ve encountered?

It was a rainy day and on this rainy day I had an order of 3 dozen of individually wrapped Amaze Berries to create for one of my clients birthday event. I’m located in Oak Park, MI and for some reason my power seems to always go out. However, my lights flickered on and off during the whole time of me dipping berries. So, what normally takes me two hours caused me to take three in a half hours to finish. As soon as I was done my power decided to go all the way out. I called my client and advised her that my power went out and that her berries has to be stored properly. My client was scheduled to pick up that night and did not have a way to pick her order up early. I instantly asked her if I can deliver to her or the venue. My client agreed for me to deliver to the venue. I packaged the order and delivered as soon as possible. Moral of the story, I had to make a way for my client creation to be stored and delivered and I did just that. I don’t play about my clients or my work … lol

I’ve always had an interest in making edible arrangements back in my early 20’s but never had the time to actually pursue the idea. The pandemic hit and I finally decided to do my research and figure out what it will take for me to start an actual business. I was extremely scared to start but now that I’ve started it’s something that I love and actually have a passion for daily. On my good days, I love to create treats, and even on my bad days, I still love to create treats. This is something that I just love to do. I love to put smiles on my clients faces and get exciting reactions from them.

AmaznCreationZ is a business that’s built off love and creativity. I take pride in letting my clients know that I appreciate them for trusting in me to provide a service for them. I know that it’s a million other treat makers in the world with great work. So, when they come to me it’s definitely an honor. And I try my best to provide them excellent services.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

A lesson that I had to unlearn was that I’m not working for someone else and that I’m working for myself and everything from advertising, accepting orders, creating orders, and delivering orders will be done by me. So, instead of working from 9-5 I might work from 9am- 9am… lol

My very 1st holiday was sweetest day. I created a menu, i advertised daily, set the schedule, collected payments, and created orders. And then that’s when I realized that I’m not working a set schedule any more, I’m now working 247. But I’m doing something that I have a passion for so to me it’s not working!

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

I believe what is helping me build my reputation is consistency and character. I keep it going through the good, bad, and uncertain while remaining positive at all times. I stay kind and treat everyone with the upmost respect!
