We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Indrea Gordon. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Indrea below.
Indrea, appreciate you joining us today. One of the most important things we can do as business owners is ensure that our customers feel appreciated. What’s something you’ve done or seen a business owner do to help a customer feel valued?
For National cookie day I sent all of my top paying customers homemade cookies. My campaign was something like Quad always make you feel like your at home. Come have cookies and milk and consult w me about your wardrobe.
Indrea, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
We are a luxury brand servicing the female entrepreneur. We focus on all things sexy at the office.- business suits, bustiers and pieces that easily transition from day to night. We started in the industry over twenty years ago and focused solely on formal wear. Since the pandemic we’ve shifted our focus to the business woman. She’s the most impactful but most overlooked. We help our client save time but taking the time to shop for clothing off her plate. Giving her more time to run her business while always looking the part.. What sets us apart is that we really get into the psychological aspects of why this garment is important to our client. It’s really about how the client wants to feel and the nature of the event she’s attending. We are most proud of our FWOL (fashion without limitations) program where we feature kids and young adults with special needs on our runway. We want our customers and the community to know QUAD cares about the total person looking and feeling good.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I had to transition from Louisiana to Atlanta Ga. God told me to move. I had less than $1k to my name. I had no money to move anything but my kids and clothing. I took everything I could fit in my SUV and began my journey. Within one year I had built an entire staff and planned my first debut show in the city of Atlanta. I launched October 2021. Now my apartment is fully furnished and I continue to run a successful business right from my little apartment.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The lessons I had to unlearn was thinking my product cost too much and no one would pay for that. I had to first believe that I was worth a luxury price tag. Then I had to think like a business person and not a consumer. Just because I couldn’t afford it at the time doesn’t mean someone else couldn’t..
