Hi Indiana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’d be happy to! My journey began in Bernalillo, New Mexico, where I was born and raised. I initially pursued soccer and even played in college, but after my sports career, I discovered a passion for skincare. This passion was inspired by my mentor, Marti Hutchison, a trailblazer in the beauty industry.

I started my career nearly four years ago, focusing on microneedling, acne treatments, dermaplaning, and hair restoration. Over time, I became an educator for Advanced Rejuvenating Concepts, sharing my knowledge with aspiring aestheticians. In 2024, I opened M Spa in Enchanted Hills, Rio Rancho, to meet the community’s need for results-driven esthetics in a welcoming and empowering space.

Beyond skincare, I coach soccer at Bernalillo High School, helping shape young athletes on and off the field. My journey has been about combining my passion for education, beauty, and community to create a business that not only offers services but empowers people to feel confident in their skin.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Every step of the journey has come with its challenges, but each one has helped me grow personally and professionally. One of the biggest obstacles was transitioning from working for others to opening my own business, M Spa. Starting a business requires more than just passion—it involves navigating permits, construction delays, managing finances, and learning how to build a team and lead effectively.

Another challenge was balancing multiple roles. As an aesthetician, educator, business owner, and soccer coach, time management became critical. It’s a constant effort to give my best to each area of my life while also prioritizing my own well-being.

There were also moments of self-doubt, especially in an industry that’s highly competitive and ever-changing. Staying up-to-date with the latest techniques, building a loyal client base, and educating others required resilience and a willingness to constantly adapt.

Through it all, I’ve learned that obstacles are just opportunities for growth. With hard work, support from mentors, and a strong vision for what I wanted to create, I’ve been able to turn those challenges into stepping stones for success.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I believe the most important quality that has contributed to my success is resilience. Starting and growing a business, especially in a competitive industry like esthetics, requires the ability to adapt, face challenges head-on, and keep moving forward, even when the road gets tough. Resilience has allowed me to turn obstacles into learning opportunities and push through moments of self-doubt or uncertainty.

Alongside resilience, I’d say passion is just as critical. My genuine love for skincare, education, and helping others feel confident in their skin drives everything I do. That passion keeps me motivated to continuously learn, improve, and provide the best possible experience for my clients and team.

Combining resilience and passion has been the foundation of my ability to not only achieve personal success but also to build something meaningful for my community. These qualities ensure I can stay focused on my vision and create lasting impact in everything I do.
