Fortune & Fiasco sprang to life when I sought a venue for my second annual vision board party. Choosing Olivia’s salon as the location sparked an unexpectedly profound response. The overwhelming love for the event led us to elevate it into a brand, encapsulating the essence of both Olivia’s surname and my Cuban heritage nickname. Thus, Fortune & Fiasco was born from the fusion of passion and creativity.

Fortune and Fiasco is a brand dedicated to fostering women’s empowerment through a vibrant community. Our network comprises professional women and entrepreneurs who actively enjoy networking events and embrace a lifestyle of abundance. We take pride in our philanthropic endeavors, as well as reaching women who are striving to become the best versions of themselves.
We bring together women going through personal and professional transformations to connect, support, and uplift one another through mentorship and shared experiences, so that we can overcome barriers, unlock our potential, and pursue fulfilling and successful futures. Our ultimate goal is to forge meaningful connections with women who are on similar paths, new experiences, and most importantly uplift women in our community.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
In sixth grade, amidst the chaos of middle school, our friendship sparked like a match in the dark. Bonding over shared interests, we became inseparable, navigating the ups and downs of adolescence together, our bond growing stronger with each passing year. And so, as we stood side by side on the threshold of adulthood, ready to embark on new adventures and chase our dreams, we knew that no matter where life took us, our friendship would endure a timeless reminder of the power of connection and the beauty of finding a kindred spirit in the most unexpected of places.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I’d love to share our journey! Building our audience on social media started with consistency and authenticity. We focused on providing valuable content tailored to our audience’s interests while engaging with them through comments and messages. Our advice for those starting out is to find your niche, be consistent in posting, engage with your audience genuinely, and don’t be afraid to show your personality. Also, remember that building a genuine connection takes time, be patient and stay dedicated to your vision.
