India , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start big picture – what are some of biggest trends you are seeing in your industry?
One of the biggest trends that I have seen in this industry is the POP-UP Shops during tax season.
Some people look at it as a hustle for the next four months.
Which leads people to believe that they are getting the best or the most refunds possible. The truth is that the hustlers pop up in your life to get your money and then you can’t find them when you get a letter from the IRS. The truth is that people give their social security numbers to Pop-Up shops and then leave or store their client’s information in an unsafe manner. The sade part every year we get clients whose identities have been stolen because they trusted the wrong person. The sad part is that they can’t find or locate the person and the next year their social is used and taxes are filed before the person can file their taxes.
The IRS then has to place a hold until that person can prove their identity which will take months to resolve and sometimes it takes years.
Be’s Professional Services, LLC prides itself on understanding the needs of our clients and making sure that their information is safe.
During the after-tax season, you can always locate our team. We are not popping in and out of our client’s life after tax season.

We have over 13 years of experience in the tax and consulting industry and we started our tax career in 2008 but had to put it on hold because of life challenges. After a complete reset, India started Be’s Professional Services and dedicated it to her mother Bobbie Elaine who she lost in 2011; her mother was a selfless person and loved serving people.
India is also a philanthropist and has served with the American Heart Association on programs that benefit women in 2013. She has volunteered in schools, churches, and was the keynote speaker at a Dallas Housing Authority event in 2016. Be’s Professional Services partnered with Duncanville High School Special Needs Work-Study Program in 2017. India Roberts is the published author of,” Buzzing Around Tax Facts With Be’s” and a mother of three that loves animals.
India Roberts founded the Non-Profit Group Be’s Empower H.E.R. Inc. in 2015, which stands for “Helping Everyone Realize” that we can do and have it all with hard work and dedication. This non-profit group is designed to encourage, educate, and empower individuals and business owners. Her goal is to encourage people with the message that they can do and have it all despite the different hats they have to wear.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I started Be’s Professional Services and dedicated it to my mother Bobbie Elaine who I lost in 2011. I was 4 months pregnant with my third child and I understood that my help was leaving. I knew that I had to leave Corporate America to take care of my children. I had to createe an opportunity that I could be flexible for raising my children. Being a mother is the most important role besides owning a few businesses.
The legacy that I leave was the goal for me and make sure that my children and my great great great great grandchildren understood the importance of legacy and generational wealth.
Any advice for managing a team?
Being transparent with the team about the business and expectations. Make sure that we understand the company goals and how the team can help get the company to the next level.
