We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful India Leigh . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with India below.
Hi India, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Being clairvoyant, clairsentient and claircognizant came to me as a later-in-life surprise. I became a mom in my 40s, and soon after that, I began to receive clear messages from my spirit guides. At first, I didn’t know where they would lead me. Excited to explore this guidance further, I went to a psychic who was able to confirm their intention and help mentor me on what to do next. Through sharing these experiences with moms around me and playing with tarot cards, I grew the ability to give readings.
Slowly but surely, I was tapping into my intuition and the messages were growing stronger. Organically, I began doing readings for more individuals through word of mouth and also partnering with mediums and astrologers on events and workshops. My spirit guides were guiding me to make this my life’s work. I completely pivoted my career path which had for 20 years been journalism to embrace this new adventure as an Intuitive Reader.
Because so much of my work with people centers around connection within relationships, I also studied to become a Certified Relationship Coach through Relationship Reinvented/Root Camp™.
I am beyond grateful for these gifts. Once I opened up to my psychic ability, it’s taken on a life of its own.
And now, my purpose is to be used divinely to pass along messages and help others listen to their own voice and inner guides. Being able to witness others come into awareness brings me the greatest joy.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I work to reframe the perception of psychic or intuitive work with a fresh, personal approach to mindfulness and spirituality. During today’s challenging times, people are seeking a deeper sense of connection and purpose in their lives, resulting in a surge of interest in this emerging piece of the health and wellness puzzle. Over the past few years, I’ve seen a real shift in my professional practice as more and more people open up to intuitive work and therapy. My goal is to help make the concept more widely embraced and accessible to anyone looking for deeper meaning and connection in their lives.
I use a variety of modalities and gifts to help others clearly understand the messages they are being sent. I also empower those I work with to connect more deeply with their own intuition on a daily basis, aligning their energy, thoughts, words and actions with their greatest good and highest purpose. One of the biggest challenges I’ve found is helping others overcome their own fears and skewed perceptions of intuitive work itself. Many people still hold to misconceptions or outdated beliefs that psychic work is all crystal balls and fortune-tellers. The truth is everyone has the gift of intuition; they just need help connecting with it amid all the always increasing noise of the world around us.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
It was the deadline-driven stress of being a journalistic writer and editor that first got me looking for ways to escape the effects of anxiety – the muscle pain, headaches and even severe stomach pain I had developed over years of making my performance at work the focal point of my life. Massage and yoga were life-savers, and I began using self care as most people do in the beginning: as a surface bandage for a wound and inner cycle that went much deeper. But temporary, intermediate relief was better than none, and I began to follow the breadcrumb trail that led me to more balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Over the years, and through the challenges of later-in-life mothering, my self care and inner balance journey led me into my intuitive gifts and work. So, also it’s much more complex than this, I like to say self care led to psychic abilities for me!

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
It’s astounding (and sometimes horrifying) how much of our treasured time and energy we pour into things, people, and situations all in the name of what we believe we should do. Any belief that has the word “should” in it is based on the conditional limitations of the mind, and has nothing to do with the path of your heart and soul. We have been conditioned from an early age to push through and tolerate situations long after they are in alignment with our path simply because it’s what has become expected of us. Simply releasing yourself from the bondage of the “shoulds” in your life will free up room for more of what is meant for you to come in and start opening you up to your inner guidance.
